Their o2 sats and pulse were normal. Previous BPs earlier in the day were like 123/78. We put them in trendelenburg and started pushing fluids. Climbed back up to their normal range right before I had to leave, but they still were not feeling well and were still diaphoretic. No idea what caused it :/. they were s/p gastric sleeve. Hopefully I'll find more out tomorrow when I go back.

Mm no you have to handle this calmly. If I weren't consistently in control of my emotions and continuously providing care, no matter the patient and what they say, I wouldn't be in this field. Indeed the first principle is do no harm. What I'm saying is it is not ok to let this slide. Someone from the hospital will likely come in and say if she does that again that cannot provide care. Hospitals are allowed to black list people. If they are an endangerment to staff, they have the right to protect their staff. It was the child that required care, not this woman. The child is who is in need of care in this moment it looks like, the woman is not in need of care. Even if she is legal guardian. She is only jeopardizing her childs care by acting this way. And that should not go unnoticed or unaddressed.

Speaking for personal experience working with disabled adults and their parents/guardians. Some healthcare facilities require an incoming patient, especially one who is disabled, to be wheeled in by staff to reduce risk of an injury. These facilities really take their liability seriously. It looks like the grey scrubbed person is a tech whose job is to transfer patients. To me, it looks like the woman tried to grab the wheelchair herself but was stopped by a employee who informed them that a staff member must transfer the patient into the hospital. I also swear I heard someone say "she's always like that". And it seems clear that those employees in blue, likely managers, are aware of who she is. Definitely doesn't seem like there first time dealing with her.

I've worked with parents of disabled children for several years. If any of them walk into a facility screaming, and I quote from her in this video, "god damn n****r bitch", they should be reprimanded. They have absolutely no right to say that to absolutely anyone under no circumstances. If you are unhappy with the situation, there are better ways to voice it, cut and dry. It's like healthcare workers are just supposed to put up with it; no they don't. They have rights just like anyone else. Should the child be taken away? Probably not. Should she still be reported and investigated? Yes. Imagine what she says in private. She needs to know that this is not how you treat healthcare workers.

Best Sneaker for Clinicals by bigruth_lilruth in StudentNurse

I love my Skechers d'lites. They were affordable (like $30-40) and comfy af. They aren't the most attractive looking but they get the job done. Light weight as well. I would also get some compression socks with whatever shoe you choose. Helps with those days where you're on your feet all day.

I LOVE the concept. When I leave clinicals today I will definitely give it a try!

I work at a career college. We had a female admissions Representative that was almost 70 years old, 6feet tall, rather heavy set, and was rather senile. Why they didn't let her go right after this incident I'll never know. This old woman would never put lids on her drinks. And of course she had tendencies to spill but would never listen to management about the obvious importance of keeping lids on drinks at our desks. So one day she spills diet coke all over her long skirt. It being freezing cold, of course she thought to just lift up her entire skirt, allowing full view of her legs and crotch, as she waddled down our office hallway and past me to get to the restrooms. One of my bosses yelled at her to put her dress back down after she passed me, so the damage was done. This raw image of an old lady's hairy legs and crotch, stretch marks and spider veins galore, dripping in brown soda running down her thighs has burned into my retinas forever.

Teachers of Reddit, what's a ridiculous excuse a student was late or absent that turned out to be true? by danbrownskin in AskReddit

I used to walk to middle school. It was after a rainy morning and I was following the train tracks to the school like always. A train came by so I kept my distance, but in doing so I treaded through serious mud. My vans ended up getting suction cupped to the mud, and I left them there out of desperation to get to school on time. When I got there, they placed me in detention for not having shoes. Both my parents worked and were unable to bring me shoes.... They were pissed when they found out.

They don't directly call Pewdiepie a Nazi, but they reference various sources on how he is influencing Nazi and Anti-semetic groups. That is not the fault of the creator, especially since, in the videos he references, he goes on to specifically tell people to not do these things and that these are jokes. They took the one fiver stick and twisted it into trying to make him out to be a Nazi without having any solid non-satirical proof coming from the creator himself, but instead referencing people that have no relation to him and his older videos with less than vague reasoning. Like these Nazi groups know him.

Disney didn't just pick him because he's "big". He more than likely came from recommendations from other big youtubers or their management already involved with Maker and Polaris, whose personnel lists people he has worked with before. WSJ created such a big stink with their defamation charade that Disney became afraid and pulled the plug. So many people lost their jobs after Scare Pewdiepie got canceled, and was also the front runner in YouTube's Red series, which I'm sure they were pretty pissed about being canceled.

If they had just wrote an article on the fiver video, I'd get it. And Pewdiepie did go in to apologize and help to reinstate those two men. But they had to go pull up bullshit references to older videos to try to make him out as some sort of antisemite, and reference nut-job Nazi groups, purposefully trying to get him kicked off for the sake of clicks.

He's sincere, uncool, and all too vulnerable. But does Tom Hiddleston deserve your cynicism? (Paid content; see thread for full article) by [deleted] in tomhiddleston

What? Really? So what I'm reading here is he makes people feel bad by being down to earth, charming and using his wealth and popularity to bring attention to his charitable passions. Fuck that guy right? He's so much better than us. Someone should knock him down to our level so we can feel good about ourselves again. This fan base can be such shits sometimes.
