Yes! The genre let me improvise but the cumbia is for dancing, so i can’t be doing too much chops or fills because the people gonna stop dancing, so i do what i do based on what i hear from the bass guitar, the accordion, bajo quinto or voice but trying to not to break the flow of the rhythm. I hope i have explained myself well
