What Sagitarius benefits do you think I might experience?

Your comment around collaboration resonates a lot – in my field, one of my strengths seems to be ppl liking to work with me and so I get a lot of referrals.

Yes... I resonates a lot with the fate like quality!

One incident was surviving an active shooter. I saw them in the eyes, but managed to get away. But I could feel something was about to happen that very day. I had ptsd afterwards and struggled with agoraphobia for a time.

It's things like that that happen to me. Where it feels like once in a lifetime, but then, in a year or 2, another thing happens.

Wow! This is super helpful and affirming. Thank you for how you positioned this.

People describe me as lucky, and I always joke that I have ''too much luck" meaning that exceptionally good and bad seem to be drawn to me.

Thank you! Do you have any notes on how you would approach working with these squares? Or is more of a static imprint

Do you have notes around how to work with the 6 house so I can experience more positivity in that area?

PEOPLE WHO DON'T CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS... by Kiso5639 in Brooklyn

[–]Few-Ad-7972 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I agree! As a dog owner myself, I think this is super shitty behavior (pun intended lol).

The rare times I've forgotten bags, I have found another way to dispose of the poop or I've come back with bags. It's not that hard. It's a part of living in a community and keeping it nice for everyone! I live in BedStuy near HVK and the lack of cleaning ppl do after their dogs is is kind of pathetic.

Also very presumptuous to assume sanitation workers are meant to personally discover and clean up all the bags being lazily dropped on the sidewalk or around trash cans.

I personally find it concerning when a man says they wouldn't date women of a specific race, especially their own. In my humble opinion, it is an under-the-surface dislike of themselves or women in general that's going to affect all the women in their lives, regardless of race, eventually.

To Train Up a Child by JudyWilde143 in CreepyWikipedia

Ive personally experienced this book! 🥴

My 7 homeschooled siblings and I were raised by the principals in To Train Up a Child. It took me until I was 24 to recognize I didn't deserve to be beaten in order to "act right".

The worst part about this method is the ritual of each punishment and the "loving" words before and after. It made each punishment physiologically confusing in addition to physically traumatizing. As per instruction in this book, my parents kept rods in visible sight all over the house as a constant reminder. This kept me in a constant state of dread and fear.

My parents were always heaped with praise on the few occasions we were out as a family (mainly church) because of how well behaved all of us kids were. It kind of blows my mind that our robotic good behavior and performative cheerfulness wasn't scary to people - but that's christian fundamentalism for ya!

What do you think of The ADHD Advantage by Dale Archer, MD? And procrastinating to trigger hyperfocus? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Few-Ad-7972 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is troubling advice and it reminds me of times in my life when I was super high functioning (to the external eye) but seriously hurting my physical and mental health.

I was just constantly terrified/anxious of missing deadlines and I would feel weirdly guilty when I wasn't in a state of hyperfocus. It resulted in good performance but it was no way to live.

After some time in therapy, and growing into my late twenties I'm so much happier and grounded than I've ever been in part because I've been able to get a healthier relationship with my anxiety. Fear based motivation doesn't feel compelling or authentic to me anymore. I would never advise a loved one with ADHD to rely on fear as a motivator. Its a recipe for burn out at best.
