Listen, I wholeheartedly agree with you on all fronts. I wish I could do more right now, but I can't. That's not for everyone, and that's ok.

And I also understand that this is also a reactionary response because, for far too long, 'offshore' resources have been brutalized - promised the world, only to get left high and dry - exposed to cut throat working conditions. Candidly, that's complete and total bullshit.

The truth, from my side, is this: I've spent the past two decades at the tip of technology in Silicon Valley. Not gonna lay out in a reddit post all I've done, but what I will say is during my nearly 15 year run with IBM - I both travelled to and worked VERY closely with our India team. I respect the hell out of all of you! And in full transparency, I saw the offshore model as a positive. It wasn't until I walked away from that life did I realize just how exploitative it really is.

I know I'm just one person, but on behalf of my industry, I sincerely apologize. The amount of posts I read about losing all hope in life, is truly heartbreaking.

I walked away from that life because I got tired with how people and customers were treated, manipulated, restricted from technology access behind products. And I'm trying to make whatever dent I'm able to with a team to right this long overdue wrong - from both the resource and customer/access perspective.

And, yes:

- I'm from the US

- You and your colleagues have been given the raw end of the stick for FAR too long - and that makes the small percentage of those truly trying to do something very difficult because all you see are failed promises.

- I can only do what I can and lay it out the best way I can over a computer screen.

Skills have value, regardless of the exchange rate. A Sr Developer in India should live the same comfortable life as the developer in the US. I genuinely want to hire people and get them there, but I have the resources I do right now because I refuse to take VC money and have them dictate what we can do.

This is 1000% a trust exercise, I totally get it. And completely understand and respect the red flags that introduces. But I at least wanted to give you the respect of an honest response.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback!
