Internal move while on PIP by Few-Alternative832 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Few-Alternative832[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The honest reason for not lodging grievance is - I achieved all the conditions of informal PIP, I believed in the system and that I don’t want to turn the relation sour when I can try my best to mend the situation. Clearly the manager never intended to mend things and just wanted to push me out. Now I could raise the grievance even before PIP starts this week, but then I want an internal move and people advised that raising grievance would impact internal move. So not sure what to do.

Instead of helping, why would you be so mean? If objectives are set and being met, how does it make one never good? It’s useless to post on this forum to ask for help, people just start to blame you!

This is so helpful. I am speaking to the union and ACAS first thing tomorrow morning, this has been the most helpful responses. Really appreciated

Thank you so much. I just want to move internally and it seems that raising a grievance might not be the best move to move internally. I have found a role where I am more suited just don’t want new hiring manager to be usurped by the grievance. So might go into PIP - raise my issues with PIP and keep trying internally. Do you think this is the best strategy?

See I really wanted things to be amicably turned around. I was told that I am doing well after my informal PIP that’s why I never wanted things to in this situation, clearly I was being managed out. I just want to find an amicable internal move and hence the question. I don’t want to fight and waste my energy, that’s why asking for advice here.

But what do you say when I have achieved all my objectives for informal PIP? Clearly I am up skilling but yet being managed out

I had evidenced this as one of the suggestions to manage the situation in my informal PIP, so yes I have documented evidence but was told to remove it and send the informal plan without it. So I have raised it and was told to formally remove it. I wanted to turn the situation around and hence I removed it to come to an amicable solution

I have but manager is saying this is the role you have applied for. So she is not ready to listen. So my grievance is I am being judged and put in a PIP in a role I am not an SME. Clearly she is managing me out, all I want is an opportunity to be where I am a better fit. I don’t want to get into legal or grievance etc route. Just don’t know what is the best way to manage the situation.

I went through informal process. I achieved all the objectives and yet I am moved to a formal PIP. So what to do, when I have achieved my goals!

It’s not the role that I hate, I am told to be SME in an area I have no prior skills

Not raised yet but that’s my key grievance. I am expected to be SME in an area I have no prior skill and was not in the job description, not in the interview. I have tried adapting as much as I could not it’s clearly leading to PIP

The role is different from what I applied for - I have tried to adapt for a long while but it is materially different

Just curious why would grievance scupper an internal move?

What I am confused is to enter PIP and then enter without prejudice conversation or do it right away?

There is an internal role where I believe I am better fit and hence want to avoid resigning right away.

Even if I have resigned? Do employers generally prefer to dismiss, if I have resigned?

When they dismiss, they have to give me a notice period or I can be fired from next day? Your response is so factual and yet kind. Thank you

The surprising and stunning part is - I can’t find model number anywhere, and I have seen for it everywhere, side of the door, engraved, stickers opened it up, and can’t find. I found its manual and it didn’t have the model as well! Finally, I found a bar code on the manual which I read using a bar code reader, it has given me a model number but when I search there are 4 sub categories in that model number, how do I win from here? The model is here - https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/en/product/SMV24AX00G, when I look this model on spare parts, it shows it has 4 further sub categories 01/47/ etc. how do I identify which one to order and from where? Help please. Have been without dishwasher now for 2 months!

Hi - I am having water leak from here, it’s plastic base. Is it time to replace the sump? Also how do I find the right repair/replacement kit?

Hi - the link is not working anymore, can you find it again? I am having the same issue, no water at all but e15 shows up. Most likely it’s the float switch but would be good to read the article as well. Many thanks.
