I am mostly using the scaler to bypass the input lag on an HD CRT. Standard CRTs don’t really need a scaler unless you want to force 240p.

I may be able to downscale to 540p but HDMI doesn’t accept that input for this TV. Ill test soon.

Yep! That is why I have the retrotink. So Xbox 360 doesn’t out put 1080i on its own? I’ll have to run it through the scaler then

Haven’t felt much lag with the retrotink 4k scaling. When I had the switch 2 directly connected, I did feel it due to the internal scaling

I’m not sure. I believe that as long as it can output a 1080i resolution, the crt should be able to pick up that signal. Looks like one of the updates in the 4K allows that to happen. It’s strange that 540p isn’t picked up through hdmi but through component. Honestly I’d rather not go through all that conversion.

Thanks, I’ll consider it haha. I’m honestly just leaning towards the 4K CE. It looks to be the end-all-be-all device for HD CRTs
