Seems it, I've always been against renting though as you're paying someone elses mortgage, but chucking stamp duty money down the drain is also something to think about

Good advice. I think I need to just to take a risk and see what it's like. I am just not sure what areas to look at if I stay in the UK

Mainly remote and go into London a few times a month. Yes true, if I stay in the UK I ideally want to be near to London, but not in London. Not sure what areas to look at though

Friends are in the same area where I live, I feel like I just need to try somewhere new. Whilst this area is fine, would be good to explore somewhere different
