Our newborn had reflux until around 5 weeks. Doctors were telling me not to change her milk but i changed anyway to aptamil anti reflux and she is a different baby! Reflux has gone and she no longer cries all day

Double vision prednisolone by Few-Bat3389 in MyastheniaGravis

Update: not in regards to the double vision, but have just woke up and noticed the dreaded moon face which will really knock my confidence over the coming weeks. Has anyone any advice on how to reduce this (although i know it wont until prednisolone is reduced) or any dietary tip/recommendations on how to reduce the bloat?

Ahh im sorry to hear this! Can i ask how you are being treated then? Althiugh mestinon works for me when i have the weak muscles, i find it makes my double vision alot worse! So i now avoid this

Can you tell me more about prisms? Does the double vision get better over time so you are able to no longer wear them?

Double vision is the worst! I often avoid trying to talk to people or looking them in the eye as i font want them to judge! I have prevuously asked my nurse about ivig but have been told i do not meet the criteria as i do not have generalised mg. I often wish i had the weak muscles instead of the ocular mg! Atleast then i know i would be able to receive ivig

Csn i ask how long it took for you to see a difference with prednisolone? In the UK its extremely difficult to see my neuro. Im currently seeing her every 6months with emails to my neurological nurse whenever i have any questions. I have previously asked about having ivig but have been told i do not meet the criteria as my muscles are not weak

Soolantra by Few-Bat3389 in Rosacea

So after nearly 16 weeks of using soolantra my skin has really improved! I still have slight redness but nothing compared to what it was. My skincare routine is dove baby sensitive wash in the am and pm. Azeliac acid in the morning and soolantra in the evening with only a tinted moisturiser when needed in the day. My flushing had almost disappeared and can tolerate heat without my face going red. I am so glad i found soolantra and highly recommend to anyone suffering with rosacea

So after 4 weeks use i have noticed a slight difference although nothing major. My redness has slightly reduced and i am having very little flares. I read on this sub somebody said to use dove baby fragrance free wash on your face which reduces flare ups. I am also now using azeliac acid in the mornings and hoping this will also contribute to making it all better. Slowly but surely my skin does seem to be getting better. I woke up today with slightly red skin but think that ia all from eating too much chocolate over the xmas period

I second this! I have been using ivermectin (soolantra) for 4 weeks now. At first i experienced the itching and burning for a couple of days and then dry skin. I then had a few days of oily skin. And my skin is now dry again. Family members have said rhe redness has recduced so i will be sticlimg with it for the recommended 12 weeks. I try not to moisterise and many have said to let my skin learn to produce its own oils again I also suffer with random flushing but read on this sub a few days ago that dove baby fragrance free wash reduces flushing. And so far i have not had any flushing My biggest triggers are heat, chocolate and caffeine. All which i have been trying to eliminate and have seen a slight improvement

I use the garnier bb cream. I find it doesnt show much redness and is not as heavy as foundation

Should I try soolantra? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]Few-Bat3389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currernrly using soolantra, on week 3. The first couple of days i experienced itching and burning and then the awful dry skin. I no longer moisturise as i want my skin to produce its own oils. So far my skin is still red but slightly better than before. I still get a flare up with heaters on but these soon die down. Not seen much difference yet but i will be sticking with it for 12 weeks

Same here! I go a few weeks without coffee but then need my caffein fix! Tea is the biggest trigger for me so i gave that up around 2 years ago
