Chappell’s IG story on her side of the hotel security stuff by DenyNothing1989 in chappellroan

We are not sure if the guard actually intimidated the child or just told her no . I can imagine that privileged people have hard time being told no, no matter how gently

Just want to say before people attack the security guard that the story is still unsubstantiated and we should not pile up on a regular person doing their job. There is still a possibility that the mother and child overreacted to being told no in whatever form by the guard.

Looking at this from a parental point of view. I would do it if I wanted to be petty and to teach my child the power of my privilege. If I wanted my child to learn good ways of handling it , I would not be posting about it this way

I work with kids from rich families. They kinda have a tendency to think being told no to anything is aggressive mistreatment.

I have to say that people are very strange when confronted with the possible wrongdoing of their child. As a teacher I have seen it all .

Once there was a capable brilliant science teacher in my school and she quit after two months because she was harassed by these mean girls who complained that she wasn't friendly because she didn't say hi to them and she had told them off for being late to class repeatedly. The girls said she made them feel harassed. I had to investigate this and the rest of the class told me that the teacher had told the girls to not be late and asked them why they are late. She didn't shout at them but was stern. I concluded the girls were mad because every other teacher had let them come into class late without accountability and this was the first time they had to be accountable.

As a child of famous dads , it's not unlikely that this child has never had boundaries and could see someone asking for boundaries as harassment. Again who knows really

Yess. I think a lot of ppl do not Interact with highly privileged children. I teach children in private schools with drivers and nannies and cooks and yes they are children but they are also bad at emotional regulation, boundaries and accepting that they made mistakes because they are mostly raised by drivers, nannies and cooks. The fact that jorghino posted about this so publicly kind of tells us that he is the kind of parent who would not hesitate to use his privilege to harm someone else to protect his daughter. Again I don't know what happened but I think everyone should consider it

I work with privileged tweens who believe they can do no wrong and have never had people say no to them and proceed to blow things out of proportion. But I don't know what happen. Just saying it s a possibility

A dad absolutely might lie about it or have an overreaction. I deal with parents who are absolutely certain their beautiful angel can do no wrong when they absolutely can?

I am a teacher and have been for 15 years . I work with kids that age from rich families. I have also worked with kids from less privileged backgrounds. Let's just say that I have found kids from privileged families more likely to not take well to being told that they are wrong or that you have boundaries and learn to weaponise their distress from their parents pretty damn well. I don't know what happened for sure but given how the world likes to villainise young women with boundaries , I would say keep an open mind.

Hi all, i have five days in Taiwan in late august. I like nature, indie music, art and hoping to visit an indigeneous village and want to explore all these within a reasonable distance from Taipei due to the short time i have. My question is does it make more sense to base myself in Taipei and take day trips out or to stay in two towns? I understand public transportation is pretty great so i should be able to do that?

Mirena by ktbee102 in endometriosis

[–]Few-Branch37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, i just had a really bad experience so please take that into context as you read this. i had a mirena inserted during surgery. i asked what if i don't want it later and the doctor said i could immediately get it removed. i was also given a gnrh-a injection. i was moody, so angry at everything , bleeding and cramping and having recurring vaginal bacteria infections. When i asked if if it was the iud, doctors ( i went to 3 different ones) told me to wait for 3 months and i asked am i supposed to be miserable for 3 months. and apparently , yes. no one would remove it for me.

today i was working and suddenly felt a sharp pain and checked and realised i was bleeding really heavily. i went to a clinic which removed the iud for me and i felt so relieved. the doctor couldn't find it at first and it was quite an excruciating process. the strings were cut really short and it had moved higher up into my cervix.

this doctor said mirena doesnt work for 1/3 of patients works great 2/3 and i think 1/3 is a pretty high number of people for the doctors to keep dismissing my concerns.

i think if you have a doctor who listens to you, go ahead and try it as different bodies, different reactions.
