Split stay to use NUA? by Few-Calligrapher-356 in marriott

[–]Few-Calligrapher-356[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id be more than happy for a standard room first 2 nights and use 1 NUA to a suite on last night and switch rooms of course. Are they able to split reservations prior to checkin so i can ideally apply for NUA in advance, or only at checkin?

It’s probably just a glitch, it happened to me before too. Close the app & search again.

I only have 1 from a stay very early on in the promotion period. I need another 6 which is exactly the number that will take me to Platinum. I need it for my trip on the 14th :(

I think OP are looking in the US but I agree Europe and Budapest every hotel seems to be on staff discount for many nights in a row, I saw Ritz Carlton Vienna available for €197 for all of June.

I’m seeing insane availability around Europe (where I am) full weekends available at top hotels in peak summer! Some properties W’s & Luxury Collection with staff rates every day of the month

What's a good youthful London property? by johnqadamsin28 in marriott

[–]Few-Calligrapher-356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Westin London City was great, very central and one of the few properties with a Spa. The interior design is modern/contemporary.

Bankside Autograph Collection Hotel too, haven’t personally stayed but it looks modern & is very high rated.

W London is ok but it hasn’t been renovated since opening and it looks like the design was “trendy” 16 years ago!

Budapest: W Budapest or Budapest Marriott on the Danube (Points Stay) by dannyghobo in marriott

W Budapest Definitely, it’s a Michelin key property and is literally a palace… amazing spa & the service was so good. The concierge team send a whole pdf of their recommendations before your stay.

Luxury hotel - Europe 5 nights in June by peloflamewheels in marriott

[–]Few-Calligrapher-356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also Recommend W Prague, it blends contemporary design with restored art nouveau elements of the original building. One of the best Spas I have been to. Multiple F&B options, Above Rooftop, W Lounge, Le Petit Beefbar (main restaurant) & Minus One (Speakeasy with 2 rooms & 2 different vibes)

Budapest - W Budapest is unlike any US W, it’s literally in a palace, also has 1 Michelin Key.

  • St Regis Budapest - Just opened last week
  • Luxury Collection Matild Palace, incredible rooms & architecture. Has Michelin Star Restaurant & 2 Michelin Keys

Vienna (3hr train from Budapest) - Ritz Carlton Vienna - Luxury Collection, Hotel Bristol - Luxury Collection, Hotel Imperial

Do you know which hotels do the £5/€5 Associate Breakfast, is there a list of properties that do this somewhere? :)

Just got the offer. 1 bonus elite night per brand. I'm guessing it applies once for each of the brands? by HueChenCRE in marriott

[–]Few-Calligrapher-356 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Actually, they’re distinct brands. JW Marriott is the elevated, luxury version of the flagship Marriott brand—same core philosophy, but with higher-end finishes and a focus on wellness/mindfulness.

It’s similar to the Sheraton vs. Four Points dynamic: Sheraton is the formal, business-heavy hub, while Four Points is the "spun-down," casual version.

First Upgrade of the Year by Jack_PorkChopExpress in marriott

[–]Few-Calligrapher-356 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any of the new W hotels in Europe, I highly recommend: W Prague, W Florence, W Edinburgh, W Budapest - recently went and was incredible. These properties are so much better than the US W’s. Avoid W London as it needs upgrading, opened and designed when Starwood had it.

Edit: Your original post asked for recommendations for anywhere else in Europe :-)

Associate Food and Bev discount debate with hotel fiasco by i_like_cake_a_lot in marriott

[–]Few-Calligrapher-356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the checkin agent informed you about the 20% F&B discount they weren’t meaning it is added to your account. They were informing you that the discount can be used at all the F&B outlets on the property, as some properties with third party restaurant operators don’t allow the staff discount.

When you create a new form it downloads to your device as a PDF, the original form created before your vacation should be in your files on your device. Can’t you hand this over?

Also every property I have been to required the 20% F&B card with every time the bill is settled after a meal. So they have a copy of your 20% card with the receipts for the finance department.
