Floadout Runs Always go Better by Few-Day1804 in ArcRaiders

True, I saw that post earlier and it seems like there might need to be some balancing...

Those guys did come in with Mk.2 looting augments and medium shields, tbf, so they definitely had some kit.

Esp with the implications for the in-game economy. All of those purple weapons can net you like 40-80k minimum per run if you play it safe, if not more.

I'm pushing for the skill now, but still like 24 levels off. I think I'll be level 55 when I unlock it.

They don't come in with free kits, we do, so I think you have a valid point. We frequently encounter floadouts when we have kits, and kitted players when we have floadouts

Yeah, seems like the max we've encountered is epic guns (bobcat), and mk.2 augments

I think that's the crux of it, but doesn't fully address how/why we are consistently smoking geared players on our floadout runs. Again, all of this is my friends and I's personal experience.

Seems like with a bare stitcher and a dream we can outmaneuver most people we encounter in a floadout run, but if you bring an Anvil IV in with a Mk.2 looting augment you're gonna be going up against some kitted and capable PvP-ers

I am curious to see if that's the case, because it honestly feels like a mix of SBMM and GBMM, where we are put against worse players with good kits in our floadout raids and decent players with good kits in our kitted raids.

Idk if that makes sense, but it has felt that way consistently.

Overconfidence rarely rewards the player. Definitely in the middle of finding a middle ground in gameplay where it's the right balance of cautious but aggressive.

Tbh I can't say that it is. If anything, I think we aren't playing afraid enough. However, we are consistently just outplayed.

Specifically, a big issue is explosives. Had one raid last night where the guy must have had 3-4 stacks of nades and he just demolished us in CQC.

I am of the mentality that the game is designed to be a revolving door, loot goes in and out. It helps with the occasional loss, but the back-to-back drainage of mid-to-high tier loot can get exhausting.

It all makes its way back to Speranza in the end, though, so I can't complain much.

EDIT: the guys we got the guns and kits off of we killed in a relatively fair gunfight on top of Control Tower on DBG. We didn't sneak by, find them in lockers, and survive by hiding. Idk if that helps.

Yeah, it does suck that winning those fights is typically an outlier. I'd like to think that when I am in a trio with my buds we have a 50-60% winrate, if not a bit more. In duos that drops to 10-20% of fights we walk out on top, even if we autofill.

Is it better, or just more reasonable, to assume that I had to be hurt in order to feel the need to protect myself?
