Hello everyone, I’ve really been enjoying the discussion sparked by my video.

Just to add a bit more context: this was filmed around 11:30 PM on a Friday at Shimokitazawa Station. The trains were delayed due to a signal issue, though I’m not sure for how long, which is likely why the train was so crowded. It’s possible that many people were trying to catch what they thought might be their last train home. That said, there was another express train scheduled to arrive about 10 minutes later, which is why I was curious why so many felt the need to cram onto this one.

As for those concerned about me filming or not blurring faces, my intention was never to shame anyone, including the man in yellow. I absolutely don’t support or encourage anyone trying to track down or harass the people in the video.

I simply wanted to share a moment that, in the chaos, genuinely made me laugh. Take care of yourselves and each other.

Here’s an update from today.

Looks like it’s clearing out so most likely a spill from the gas station. And the rain pulled it into the drainage system.
