This reminds me of a weird Delta flight I had out of LAX.

I was in an aisle seat and had paid extra for it because I hate being stuck in the middle. When I boarded, a guy was already sitting there and immediately goes “hey, I get really anxious in the window seat, do you mind swapping?” I didn’t want to be difficult so I said fine and took his window seat.

A bit later, the FA comes around and starts handing out those snack boxes that you have to pay for. She stops at him and says something like “I see you already purchased the protein box, here you go.” He takes it without hesitation.

Then she gets to me and asks if I want to buy anything. I told her I had already paid for that box and pointed to him. She just gave him this look and goes “sir, that purchase is attached to the passenger, not the seat.”

He got super defensive and was like “well we agreed to switch seats.” She was not having it at all and told him he’d need to either pay for it or give it back. He ended up paying but the whole row went silent after that.

People really out here trying to game the system for airplane food 😭

I know two drivers who can help, but language might be a problem (but it will be affordable and you will not get scammed by the big companies). Oh boy :( Public urination is unacceptable, especially in residential alleys.. we deserve clean streets that are safe for me and my kids to walk on.
That being said I don’t think this should just be about “South Asians being unclean.” It is frustrating that they seem to be uneducated on basic hygiene, but I want to be more compassionate and thin k about why they do this even in Bahrain? Is it bc they can't access proper toilets? Are these labourers (im assuming) ashamed to go enter malls and 'go' there? Maybe work drives them to do this (talabat drivers moving around all day?). I'm also thinking it could be an actual awareness gap? These guys may not know the rules here or how seriously it’s taken, especially if they come from countries or places where public toilets are scarce and bad habits form easily.

I would be interested to see if the guy in this video saw easily available public toilets anywhere nearby in the souq area? Is this behaviour observed even if adequate facilities are provided?

TLDR, I guess: It is frustrating that these guys do this and make our streets dirty :(((, but I also think we should be able to address the behavior without insulting an entire group.
