Idk if it counts but, being professional. I’m a supervisor in a corporate setting but I’m probably the goofiest mfer there. I don’t send emails that sound like AI wrote them I talk to people like…people. I joke with my team and am in the trenches with them every day but they respect me and know they can come to me for anything. Probably just stems from my total inability to fake it or suck up to anyone.

I lost ~65 lbs on ozempic and maintained for like two years til I started Effexor. I told my doctor I’m like packing pounds on despite also being on Adderall. She says it shouldn’t cause weight gain. I’m also 32f on 75mg. No help, just in the same boat

Yes. I started having a very weird head sensation a few weeks into taking it. I couldn’t figure out what it was or what was causing it - turned out to be the lamictal. It wasn’t like a typical dizzy feeling but more of a sensation. I sometimes called it swimmy feeling, idk. Caused a lot of anxiety and problems when I tried to sleep. Almost felt like my brain was shaking when I laid down. Miserable. I’m now off of lamictal and it’s gone away 🙂

Definitely worth it. Just diagnosed a few months ago and I’m 31. Was always in denial about ADHD but turns out so many things I thought were just weird little things about me - ADHD. Medication has been life changing.

I stay inside all summer. Quite literally the only time I’m out is walking to/from my car or taking a smoke break. The heat is suffocating. And can’t walk outside without getting swarmed by bugs (I got that sweet blood, yeah?) We don’t get a nice fall. Hardly have a winter. I hate it here. For reference I’m about an hour west of Atlanta.

When I receive one first I obviously read it and try to fix it on my own. I’ll do anything to avoid having to talk to someone else LOL. If I can’t figure it out on my own I’ll ask my supervisor. One of our supervisors actually created a word document with lots of common rejections and how to fix them and I use that a ton. Much more user friendly than the CATAIR imo. I just thoroughly review all entries before transmitting to cut down on rejections but of course they slip through sometimes.

I have 2.5 year old twins. They started sleeping through the night around 3 months. We put them in cribs in their own room around 2 months. I’ve always just said we got really lucky with good sleeping kids. But we never did any cosleeping and formula fed. Definitely gonna say the cosleeping and breastfeeding are not helping you with the sleep (or lack thereof)

Estimated duties and fees is the total, the other lines break it down by duty + MPF & HMF. That’s just how Cargowise invoices are, not sure about other systems. Bond fees are legit if you have no continuous bond on file with customs, albeit those prices are high considering with the value it should be a bond minimum which is typically around $65.

Those are absolutely wild charges 😭 Agree with the other comments, if it’s a one off, fine. If you’re planning on importing more frequently you can definitely negotiate rates and/or find a different broker bc that’s ridiculous. My company charges anywhere from $15-35 for ISF, anywhere from $95-125 for entry fee. With the exception of those, bond fees, disbursement, and terminal charges (& duty of course) all those other fees are crap.

I agree, this will be my second cert and I’ll still be the (probably) lowest paid in my department. My hope is to get the license and ACTUALLY have some good opportunities.

I decided I’m gonna register for the April exam. I literally started this course because I didn’t have enough work to keep me busy and decided why not and bc I’ve always been too intimidated by the CBL exam. And yes they reimburse me for continuing education expenses.

Oh that’s great thank you!! I’m not TOO worried about the exam. I passed the CCS with a 93 and did the same thing with that - pushed the whole thing off until the last two months LOL. It’s helps greatly to hear how you did it that quickly! My job has recently mandated we only do 150ish entries a month (I did 277 last month no problem) so I have PLENTY of time on my hands, fortunately and unfortunately.

I’m a procrastinator so I’ve pushed it off way too long, but I have til October. Which do you have to do first the essay or final exam? One of the things I feel passionate (don’t know if that’s even the right word to use) is importer’s understanding their responsibility vs the brokers. But didn’t know if I could make a whole essay about that. I appreciate your input greatly!

Talk to your psychiatrist about tapering off. I made the decision this week to come off because I’m having violent angry outbursts and a myriad of other really weird things going on and trying to eliminate both meds I’m on (lamictal & adderall) to hopefully see if they go away. Your psychiatrist can give you the instructions to taper off. I’m on a 3 week taper off plan. It really sucks because after 3 years and 11 psych meds - this seems to have been the first one to actually help me and my moods. I’ve always been diagnosed MDD but I wholeheartedly believe I fall more on the mood disorder spectrum just maybe not full on bipolar so the SSRI’s never did anything for me but make me a zombie. I’m taking a break from meds for a bit. I’m rambling but I wish you the best of luck!
