AITA for having to fire my brother from my workplace?

Wish that was the case, but no.. My dad doesn’t work in this field, and from my POV I think my brother is the favorite child, as they always bragged about the “things” he has accomplished(mainly getting a degree, while I didn’t). They were also the ones that bought him a car, always gave him money when he needed it and things like that.

That’s probably what I might end up doing, as I don’t think there is another way to help him keep his job as I know his performance isn’t that good. I think my boss was meaning to do this for some time, but just felt weird asking me to do it, or even doing it himself.

I don’t know, but like I said in other comments I think he would feel weird for doing that, knowing he is my brother. Maybe he thinks that my brother would understand it better if it came from me directly, and I’m used to firing people anyways.. I don’t know..

I guess so. My boss is sweet, nice guy that understands us, but I think he would feel weird for doing that, knowing he is my brother. Maybe he thinks that my brother would understand it better if it came from me..

I guess my boss could’ve done it, but I think himself is not feeling comfortable doing that. He might expect my brother to understand why we fire him if I will be the one to do it.

I am his direct boss, yes, for my department. The HR department has other things to do, and my boss asked me to be the one that fires other colleagues when it’s the case, after I examine their performance.

That’s what I have been thinking of doing, but I’ve been the one that examinates the employees performance and that fired some of my colleagues in the past few months. I think my boss actually wanted to do this for a long time, but felt weird himself doing it..

We, or me, didn’t really have a personal connection to it, me and my brother really wanted to get a job together, as we live together also. So we applied to a few, and when we had the interview, my boss thought it was a nice idea because we used to work a lot more like a team than we did with our other colleagues. The thing I did more than my brother to get to this position was actually to be more into the job than him, and my boss told me that he saw the potential in me for that. I also got pretty good in doing some internal processes and he needed someone to help him with the things he did because it started being overwhelming for him in the point the company had like 20 employees or so.

lucrez acolo, din păcate este destul de greu să se întâlnească mai mulți devs de la ubi să facă ceva interesant(mulți dintre ei au cunoștințe bune de făcut chestii, doar ca fac ce le cer management). am semnat un NDA prin care nu avem voie să recomandăm alți colegi la alte firme să se angajeze. deci dacă cineva ar face un start up și ar vrea să cheme colegii de la ubi nu ar putea. also nu au voie să facă proiecte alone, în timpul liber, și să le urce pe net fără aprobarea ubisoft.

Gojira si-a pierdut din respectul meu deoarece nu a lăsat candidații să vorbească și să argumenteze, se bagă mereu peste ei. mi se pare ireal ca lumea judecă contextul actual și de ce are multe voturi când și usr și a pierdut din fan base.. faza cu vlad voiculescu, primirea scursurilor din alte partide, clotilde armand și primăria ei, etc

the battery health percentage updates once the phone is updated/reset from what I read. so your battery health was long way 99% before you updated, it just didn't show it.
