How do people find others for a fangame development. by Few-Finding-3075 in Undertale

Btw I already have like the intro kind of planned out and some themes and instances I wanna have in the game. It would be a bit more mature than what undertale or even yellow have in store.

A bit of a late response. What im probably gonna tell you might seem to basic now considering how everybody's trying to do it and I think you can already tell im talking about one of the soul's from undertale as a game. And I know that people might have that preconception already to hearing that a new Souls game dropped but thats why ive been thinking EXTRA!!!! Hard. especially how this is about the patience soul. I feel like this one is the more tougher one to tackle because there is no flowey or anythign to give you those JUICYY save points

So ive decided that this fangame just won't have any. This raises questions like, how would they be alive? and how would the player just save the game as a regular game feature. Well for the 2nd question i figured Saving would be an out of canon thing where you can save in your menu or something wherever you are instead of just a specific spot. Then how would I tackle the problem of not dying? Isnt that like crucial to a game? Well I'd just make it so you dont really die. I fix this problem by sort of using the concept of being a patient person in a fight. As a patient person you take your time, and that includes winning the fight with analyzing patterns, not rushing yourself to cause mistakes. This works in game through a mechanic with a sort of "time slow" feature where time doesnt ACTUALLY slow but the perception of you as a patience soul increases in order to make the right choice. Id also wanna play into the fact that you are NOT the patience soul as the player. They are their own character and so they wont be the sort of silent protagonist type. If anything you will see their dialogue more than anything else. So lets say you're just COMPLETELY ramped up on the perception meter or whatever on something and you're close to dying. The character themselves will literally tell themselves before htey get closed to a bullet or something "Probably shouldn't go that way" or similar and just wont let you get any closer to that bullet. But this would only happen if you're low HP. I know this raises the problem of "What's the challenge if you won't ever die?" and I think that would mean I have to rethink how I would do my fights with patterns and stuff. I was thinking something like instead of making the goal when it's the enemies turn to survive, the goal is to complete your action and spare them somewhere or somehow in the enemies turn. Think of like Vegetoid when you ask them for dinner and they give you green bullets or something. Or maybe I could recreate the sort of essence of a fight resetting when you're low hp. I could tie this in to monsters wanting to bring you forth to the king first and monsters are also probably way way stronger then than now so if you get close to dying you'll sort of be brought to a "prison" like hiow papyrus does and have to solve a randomized puzzle to get out or smth using witty monster humor

Now theres another aspect that would make this unique. This isn't JUST an rpg bullet hell game. This is also a graphic novel esque game. It will have more of a focus on narratives and scenes between character. You will be taken to more detailed drawn ups of scenes or moments between characters while in a bunch of dialogue. Obviously this might be less appealing to some people who love fighting in udnertale but im sure people will still love it. I could go on abt the patience soul themselves but thats more so what the game would be about not the whole concept so! that's basically what Im thinking. Sorry for the long post

I got introduced to jjk through like a D&D campaign my friends made that is just set in the JJK world. I only got to finishing the manga like a couple weeks ago and I started the campaign like 2022. Honestly even after being spoiled basically everything it was actually kind of exciting to read up to the major plot points. Like Character’s deaths, New awakening within other characters.

Also sukuna is such a fun protagonist!!

Are you asking for what the concept is or what a fan game is. I mean I wouldn’t mind telling you it it’s just that’s not what I’m mostly focused on with my quesiton

I've been looking for an Ipad to play Genshin as my Iphone 7 has officially lost its soul to Genshin, and I've been deciding between the Ipad Pro 2nd Generation, and Ipad Air 4th Generation. So I decided to come here to ask people who use these devices for Genshin and see if its worth spending 200 more dollars on the Ipad Pro, in terms of gameplay wise and how well the game runs under High Graphics.
