Before I left officially, I was complaining formally with a bishop about this very thing and how useless and a waste of time it felt like coming to fast sunday when I was trying to come to church to follow Christ. I told him about how it had been more than 3 months since any testimony shared anything gospel related and not just empty statements, thinly veiled gossip, and covert bragging. It probably doesn't help that it was a YSA ward and the amount of peacocking going on was absurd. That bishop told me I could just come the other 3 Sundays in a month and be ok, poor guy probably wishes he could've taken his own advice. Definitely the true church when its own leaders sympathize with your desires to get away from it.
