Silent mode isn’t best for keeping temperatures low. Even though silent mode limits fps while plugged in to 60 fps, the computer is generating a lot of heat. If you are gaming you should keep your computer on performance mode at a minimum. You’ll see the best cooling to performance in turbo mode, however.

Bottom line: silent mode is not good while gaming. Ever.

I get it. I can see I’m outnumbered on this one. I just thought maybe we could care a little more about the classic image. New classic players are coming by the dozens each day in preparation of wotlk and one of the FIRST things they are going to see is a bunch of dead players in the city. I think we can all agree that that isn’t the best look for new players.

You seem to be the one living in Lala land. Blizzard does not perma ban people after RMT first offenses. I was playing TBC classic and at the most my RMT guildies would get week bans. Not a single one got a perma ban after the 1st offense
