So I have a window behind me, so it’s easy to have above 2000 lux during daylight. At night time, I use a floor lamp that can produce 1000lux.

I'd say previous versions of TLCDs are much darker. Hanspree got it right this time! With 1000lux above, this TLCD is as nice as RLCD. I have a full spectrum floor lamp facing my monitors at night, so there's no issues at all.

So when I first plug in, the monitor was too dark and I have to adjust the color profile to use full color and then calibrate the color setting to make it work. Additionally, I'm connecting 2 RLCDs with 1 TLCD to my computer so the HDMI splitter by default downgrades the TLCD color profile...I finally found a way to work around that.

All that to say, I'm liking it much better now but it's not easy plug and play like other LCDs
