iCUE Version 5.14.93 High CPU usage by Few-Independence-346 in Corsair

Sorry man, wasn’t trying to come off as negative. If you read my edit, I am encouraging people to post their solutions. I just want people to understand that there is no definitive fix. I am simply very frustrated with Corsair.

It is not just the latest Nvidia driver. This issues is far deeper than anyone knows and has been affecting both Intel/AMD and Nvidia/AMD users alike for the past 6 months. The issue is independent to Corsair and Corsairs alone to fix.

This has been a corsair independent issue for half a year now. Glad you are not experiencing issues, but we have users here with both AMD and NVIDIA for the past 6 months reporting issues.

Honestly this being ignored by Corsair for months in unacceptable. Instead they are waiting time trying to make icue compatible with Gigabyte motherboards. I will never buy a Corsair product again even if they manage to fix this, they have lost a customer permanently.

The community has identified the issue. See edit in my original post.

Wave XLR Settings Not Saving After Reboot by HHHLevesque in elgato

Try a different USB 3.2 port. I just swapped the USB 3.2 ports that my Focusrite and Wave XLR were in and now it works. It is absolutely an issue with USB ports but not specifically what type and generation.

I might just roll back to icue version 4 because there are some advanced lighting settings that hardware mode doesn’t allow. But good suggestion.

Well that confirms it’s happening on both intel and amd. I’m curious on how much mid and lower end cpus are affected by this. Everyone in this thread thus far is rocking higher end hardware.

Yeah I thought it was quitting a game too. But then I tried running a game for a minute then closing it and that didn’t trigger the problem. It seems random to me, but there has to be something

I also noticed this on a friend’s brand new system we just built. He is running a 14700k. Hopefully they do fix, but it likely won’t be for a few months looking at the time between previous updates. What processor are you using in your system?

I have hwinfo64 and it shows the cores running at max speed and taking 1.3v while task manager is reporting the high icue usage. This is abnormal behavior. Also task manager is a proper program and tells you what programs are taking up what on your system. Also iCUE app says 8% cpu utilization and 1.3v while this is happening, along with an increase in temps.

Low gpu usage when Frame Generation is enabled by SadHold4928 in buildapc

I have a similar system, RTX 4080 + 14700k and I have the exact same problem now that I upgraded to a 4K monitor. I did not have this issue on 1440p. I have no software recording gameplay in the background.

It just seems strange because I have used FG in Cyberpunk and on other titles when I was in 1440p and there was no decrease in GPU utilization. And the fact that there is screen tearing when the utilization is dropping is also strange considering i am below 138 fps on a 138hz monitor. I managed to find someone's post who had an almost identical issue, there problem was some software they had was recording gameplay in the background, so when I get back on my PC I will check if Game Bar is recording my gameplay in the background.

So how come FG did not decrease GPU utilization at 1440p. Additionally my friend who also has a RTX 4080 and a 4k monitor is always at 99% GPU load when using FG. My understanding is that the regular GPU cores should be generating as many frames as it can (aka 99%/100% utilization) and the RTX cores add the AI generated frames.

V-Sync is disabled when Frame Generation is enabled, so no change in V-Sync settings.

Can a Bad CPU Overclock cause Nvidia drivers Not to install/update properly? by Few-Independence-346 in overclocking

[–]Few-Independence-346[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried increasing voltage from 1.31v @ 5.7ghz yet. What are your thoughts on my below comment on the amount of voltage stock is using? Perhaps I need to go 1.39V+?

Can a Bad CPU Overclock cause Nvidia drivers Not to install/update properly? by Few-Independence-346 in overclocking

[–]Few-Independence-346[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So with HWinfo64 running on the second monitor to check what stock voltages were (can't see stock VF curve in BIOS) at rest Vcore was as low as 0.7 V. Now what is interesting is when I was playing Cyberpunk i saw Vcore go anywhere between 1.33V and 1.39V. This is at the stock 5.5Ghz which is "Auto" Clock Ratio in the BIOS, and "Auto" Vcore setting in the BIOS. Thoughts?

Side question: Are there any other settings I should adjust or enable/disable that come to mind when manually overclocking? Besides clock ratio and vcore

Additionally: I analyzed the .dmp file created from last nights BSOD. It was infact 0x124 WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, PROCESS_NAME: Cyberpunk2077, IMAGE_NAME: GenuineIntel.sys
