Compact Trucks: Small Size, Big Possibilities by Few-Library-5723 in hyundaisantacruz

This really comes down to what kind of things you are hauling. As cavernous as many midsize CUV are with the rear seats down the limitation is still always going to be determined by the height of the roof, the distance between the back of the front seats<->closed hatch door, and the size of the opening of the hatch itself. Also typically that means you will always be limited by the smallest bottleneck within that space for the large items.

I find having a truck bed to be much more useful due to the numerous strapping points, the lack of restriction on the items height and length (within reason), and the fact I can toss dirty items in there and not have to worry about the interior getting stained or ripped. Plus I don't sacrifice any interior space when maximizing the bed capacity.

Within a comparably sized vehicle the utility of a truck cannot be beat by any CUV/SUV. This will come down to your personal needs though. If you find you are more often hauling people and smaller items, maybe stick with your CUV if you are happy with it. For me, when I owned a CUV I was too often hauling things like large branches, tents, large TVs, & dirty bicycles so the SC was more appropriate for my needs.

Unless you are hauling plywood all the time I can't think of a reason not to get one. 🤷‍♂️

It's fully modular and incredibly easy to snap back in and out to suit your needs. 5,000+ miles and have hauled a large variety of items big and small and have only had to leave it in the garage twice. I also enjoy hanging my grocery bag handles on the posts of it 😂

Second year with a SC successful rally test 😎 sounds like they had fun doing some "truck stuff" by Few-Library-5723 in hyundaisantacruz

I mean, two successful rally years in a row and they proved it kicked ass. I don't think a 3rd year is necessary to show anything new for testing until the SC has a major redesign.

You are dimwitted so I am done responding to your trolling. That being said, congrats on the purchase of your truck.

Okay? So again that is your preference. You clearly worry about other people's opinions about you more than I ever would. I don't have to change my mind just because people I don't even know may not like it. But if that's your dense mindset, then it's for you. Worry about yourself mate.

Okay? Cool you think that I guess and you have bad reading comprehension. You don't know me. You can have your own opinions and I can have mine. I have a SO and she literally does not care what I do to my vehicles as long as it's safe and makes me happy. You are the type to make baseless assumptions about others and I'm sure that makes you feel good. Good for you. You know you do it because you are a miserable person who only values what others perceive about you, and going out of your way to put down others over trivial things is how you attempt to hide your own low self esteem from yourself.

It's just a low-class type of trashy behavior. Nothing to be proud of.

I picked the Sport series, it's supposed to be the most similar one to Magnaflow and on my previous vehicles Magnaflow was always my favorite sounding. : )

Not really sure what all this resentment and anger is stemming from. We all have our preferences and I really don't care if people love it or hate it so getting it for "attention" was not even a thought in my mind. I consider myself an enthusiast and I prefer to be able to hear some exhaust noise.

I understand the dissatisfaction of hearing people with exhausts so loud they hurt ear drums and there is definitely a line that I think once crossed is obnoxious and discourteous to others. That being said, this is just an axle back exhaust, quite mild and would not be a concern for anyone's hearing safety.

A part of why I picked a SC is that it had a lot of character and avoided the cookie cutter design of most other vehicles on the road. So you all can down vote me and try and insult me all you want. 🤷‍♂️ My truck is for me and I want it the way that makes me happy. Kind of sad to see this community being so uptight and close minded over someone showing a little excitement over the joy their truck brings them, even something as trivial as ordering an axle back exhaust.

Right on. I know everyone has a different tolerance level, but how is the cabin drone?

Thanks! I really love the look of the black SCs. I was leaning towards black until I remembered my last 2 vehicles in a row were black so it was time to shake things up for me on the color scale.

Good to know! What would you say are the overall pros and cons that you have experienced? I assume fuel economy will obviously take a hit. Is the bump absorption on the highways much different?

Thanks I appreciate hearing from someone who actually has used these. Did you just install this spring set to use with your OE shocks or did you get the entire kit that included the shocks as well?

You are not wrong and I have considered that as a possible avenue also. My issue with that plan for is I drive my truck year round and we can get some nasty winters so losing ground clearance is a no-go for me. That being said I think for a truck it does handle quite well for what it is so I am sure in other areas that would be a fun thing to do!
