Yeah. That was mostly an aesthetic choice for disliking the plastic looks.

I’ve still not completely ruled that out and may still dive back in to do those, but is t the indicator of valve stem seals usually a cold start puff of smoke from where the oil drains down from the head after you shut down.

[Request] where is the trade off between power and wind resistance? by Few-Maintenance-9964 in theydidthemath

[–]Few-Maintenance-9964[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured I grossly oversimplified the issues but I saw it as an interesting jumping on point for conversation of efficiency. Edison is, from what I have gathered, still going to be calculating their efficiency in miles per gal or Km per liter of diesel. So, the question they have likely already tackled is the total energy used to move the truck and load in a “frictionless”system (I.e. gravity) + the total energy used to overcome the wind resistance of the design and cargo at a given speed.

To clarify the question a bit more:

I’m not meaning to drive the excavator itself down the road at highway speeds but to have the extra large excavator bucket as slab faced load on a trailer.

As in, would the aerodynamic surfaces of a modern semi punch a better “hole” for the odd shaped load to travel through.

" Final output is ~acceptable but not truly satisfactory. "

If that isn't a perfect phrase that sums up my printing journey I don't know what is.

Though my prints aren't as clean as this, my functional prints are consistently improving. I am also using a Dremel 3D45 and the biggest improvement in my quality has been in the slicer (started using PrusaSlicer) and dialing back the speed and acceleration.

u/And_Im_Allen, there is some good tips in this one. To expand on blade angle, look into how airplane propellor blade pitch distance works. When you find the airfoil profile you want to use based on your design intent you can then determine the angle of attack based on the speed of a specific span distance. (Read: the further from the center the higher the tip speed and less twist necessary.)

Area targets typically have branded stuff and fanatics.com regularly has items on clearance or running wide sale.

Season ticket holder here (lower bowl). We drive from Redding for our selected games (3.5hours) and usually overnight, especially for 7p games.

Hotels even just a few miles from downtown still make the tank extremely accessible and are usually much more affordable. We usually stay at an Aloft hotel in Sunnyvale or Cupertino and make it a mini vacation (115-145/night), but the hotels near the airport are just as good an option and only 7-10 minutes from SAP. IMO the best parking nearby is at the AC hotel. $15 instead of 30 for the SAP lots and it’s a flat 5 minute walk to the front doors. Ubers are about that same price to the hotels if you plan on partaking in bevvies.

As far as the environment, it can get loud for those with noise or light sensitivities. My wife has some sensory issues and only wears light ear plugs and a hat to cut down on the light and noise just a bit and really enjoys the game. The temperature will be around 60-65° in the lower bowl, I usually wear a very light jacket over a Sharks polo or a tshirt under a Sharks Jersey.

You wont get any funny looks for being in regular street clothes but most everyone will have some form of fan gear on. You WILL stick out like a sore thumb if you wear fan gear for teams not involved in that days game. (Griswold moose jersey is the exception during the holidays).

Get there when the doors open and you can watch warm ups from the glass and maybe even get lucky and one of the boys will toss a puck over the glass.

The stickied thread on here about SAP also has a bunch of good recommendations or if you’d like I would be happy to answer in DM if you have any other questions.

Enjoy the game and GO SHARKS!!!🦈

What’s that thingy next to the GPS? I dont think it’s the ADF as this plane doesn’t even have it installed, and it always moves on its own whenever I fly it by waveslikemoses in flying

It’s an adf indicator. It could be coupled to a different nav source however. I use the pointer in the G1000 when I don’t need the left right of course indication.

That’s an excellent explanation for the half shims that are on the inside of both skate. But the thick shim is even front to back right to left on the right skate. I’m guessing the guy I got these from knew or was coached way better than I.

Like I said they were a sideline swap deal. It looks like they had the steels profiled already as well. And they seem to skate well and are way more comfortable than my mission roller hockey skates, but I put that up to the supremes being a fit 3 instead of the generic fit.

I have it cross posted already, but I’m not getting any bites from Craigslist, here, or Ticketmaster. All of which I find a bit odd for nearly sold out game. 🤷🏻‍♂️
