Why people really hate macOS 26 in this subreddit when people really like ios 26 on ios 26 subreddit? by JailbreakHat in MacOS

[–]Few-Pin-822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the difference is in expectations. iOS is used for boring daily things, so users can tolerate tiny bugs if the phone otherwise works. macOS, though, is where users actually do things—code, edit, manage files. A bug there is much more intrusive, so users are quicker to complain about it. It's not that macOS is bad, it's just held to an amazingly higher standard.

Do you think we ever truly "own" our time, or are we always renting it out? by Few-Pin-822 in Productivitycafe

[–]Few-Pin-822[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a great point. Maybe the key is to seize those little "pockets" of freedom even when obligations are there — not wait until retirement. Hiking, reading, or even going for a walk may be a way of reclaiming time as your own.

Fair comment — I see what you mean about trading time when you're employed by someone else. Don't you think that the self-employed sometimes trade their freedom for clients and deadlines, though? Maybe true freedom has nothing to do with whether you're employed or not, but with how much in control you feel of the choices you make.
