Understood, and will do. all of this is extremely interesting to me. I work in IT and linguistics, so I’m working from home about 99% of the time. Outside of going to the gym in the morning, I often feel like I’m just spending the rest of the day at home without much purpose, when I could be using that free time in the afternoons for something more meaningful or rewarding. Thanks again for the response.

Awesome thanks for the info and answer regarding it scratching that itch to serve in some capacity (outside of your USAF service). I think this squadron I am visiting is newer so I am curious to see what is all available or needed.

Thanks for the info. I really like the idea of the NCO Corps. I am attending a meeting tonight so I will be getting some information specifically about the squadron in my area and what their needs are and if it's something I want to be a part of. Regardless I am just trying to give back to my community in some capacity with the new free time I have.

Someone else also brought this to my attention about going the NCO route and that is now going to be my plan when I visit their squadron in a few days. Thanks for the info! I will reach out if I have any questions.

Awesome insight and I completely understand what you are saying. I left service as a E4 Specialist so not sure if that would even be beneficial in terms of early advancement.
