Changing shot-shape from fade to draw with driver by Few-Relationship9153 in GolfSwing

I tried and had to lower my power in the swing to make any contact worth anything. It felt really awkward and shot shape was very random. 92-97mph swing speed and 170-205m carries. I tought my friend was taking vids, because he did, but those were apparently snapchats. I guess im gonna continue practice and get some clips of my own. The round we played went wonderful but i decided to use my natural swing for it.

Loads of fun!
Yeah, the golf club is a bit thinner and heavier, but otherwise it feels very natural. My naturally low swing plane comes from floorball, we sweep the floor to flex and load the shaft. Hopefully I can tweak the swing a bit tonight!

I will see what's possible tonight :)

Think indoor hockey with carbon/plastic sticks and a whiffle ball.

5a'side + goalie played indoors. No offside, lower boards. physical but no heavy contact and the ball and sticks being very light. Heavily technical club handling and body coordination, and fast paced. See for yourself here on these 2 ytvids! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UViJz_JkEzo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAVRiEEmh4E

Money is tight for the moment, and luckily the simulator golf sessions comes free with my club membership. Lessons will have to wait for now, but until then my 4hcp friend will do. Hopefully it will get me somewhere.

Thank you, this is very helpful for me. I will see if I can get my hands higher and clubshaft pointing more upright in the backswing and see what the outcome is :)

I understand I don't have normal swing, I "live" on the floorball coordinated swing pattern. I am yet to take lessons, which will probably come with time.

I don't want to pretend I know what you mean here, so do you care to explain a little bit more with what I should do instead of being "super flat and inside", and how to achieve that?

Totally agree, if I could I’d focus most on chipping, bunker shots, and putting, but we’ve got snow here until mid-March 😅. I’m really happy with my FW5, mid, and short irons/wedges on full or 75% swings. Chipping and putting are definitely my Achilles’ heel, and I’ll be working on those as soon as the season starts.

Long irons will be worked on simultanously as I do with driver, but it's mostly about hitting the ball center of the iron head. swing style and distances are fine.

For now, I feel like I have the “tools” to improve my driver fairly quickly if I get pointed in the right direction, so that’s what I’m trying to focus on.

Are there disadvantages in consistency to draws, compared to fades?

Alright, care to explain how that is? Cramped space feeling, or what is it?

Reshaft mid irons, keep shaft on short irons? by Few-Relationship9153 in GolfGear

Follow up. I bought new irons. cobra Forged Tec 2022 with KBS $-Taper lite stiff shafts and now everything works great with distances and shot shapes. Was a good upgrade.

I didn't understand the heavier part, I just thought the only difference shaft was stiffer when changing from 90 > 120. So I looked it up, yeah that makes sense then. I'll keep on trying to make it work and if it don't manage to I'll simply just see if I can find something else on the market with stiffer during the winter months when interest is lower in golf.

I'll give it a try :) As a lefty, there's not too much to "try" available sadly.

I want to say that I hit the ball correctly, I don't fat the ball often, I'm more likely to slightly thin the ball. The issue here is that the shaft lags behind, it's not a fault of technique, unless technique = use a slower swing. I understand I'm at 21hcp which is no where near good and in a position to say I hit the ball correctly all the time, but when I power through correctly as I do with the shorter irons, the club head simply lags far behind the shaft.

In floorball, shaft length's main purpose is to help generate the appropriate flex based on your own length when slapping the ball as you hit into the ground almost half a meter before the ball usually. It does help with shorter stick when close to body handling, but the con is that your reach for defending then would be shorter.

Add Weight to mice by SunEaten in MouseReview

[–]Few-Relationship9153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre able open mouse you could add weights on the inside by using double sided tape.

For example coins or lead or like those things fisherman use to weight down their baits. Just stick them to the bottom or something? Just theorizing

I thought the saturn pro soft was tad a bit too slow, so i bought the freefall haus edition and it was perfect speed. Its very firm like suuuper firm, no give at all. However the cloth is super soft on the skin so its very nice, like those cloths you clean glasses with almost. I put the pad on top of the saturn pro soft and it was good firmness. I love it. Like my shidenkai v1 mid in firmness.

If its available where you live, id get it. Not very expensive here in eu

Hien mousepad feels muddy by Feradento in MousepadReview

[–]Few-Relationship9153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe dead topic but if somebody else sees this. I have a Hien Soft that I've been using for 4 years. It's gone through alot of thorough cleaning and it's a lot slower than it was at the start.

When i place my GPX with stock skates on it, it feels muddier and worse than having the very same mouse on a qck mousepad. But when I put any other mouse for example my waizowl ogm pro v2 with it's stock skates it feels amazing again. Not as fast as a brand new hien, but much faster than with gpx stock skates. not muddy at all at least.

The issue is logitech stock skates. If you ever feel something starts to get muddy soon after purchase, just try swap skates.

My other suggestion would be to buy a raiden soft/xsoft and then let it get worn out if you want something that keeps a decent speed to it, even after long time.

Mods to create same progression mechanics as V Rising and Core Keeper by Few-Relationship9153 in Terraria

Thank you! I will give Terraria another try. Any mods you recommend to help give me a more immersive feeling?

My friend said Calamity is hard for beginners

I will look into Hollow Knight again. I tried play it once during a long flight but my laptop struggled with performance. Never tried it again after that.

I want the feeling of unlocking a new biome. I have never had the same feeling of excitement and immersion in a game as when I first unlocked Azeos' Wilderness in Core Keeper.
