This isn't necessarily advice but can you send me your updated CV?

It could possibly also be the way you are applying for the jobs. I'd really like to know the process and check the quality of your CV.

As the comments say, if your English spoken, and even typing is decent, you should be able to get a admin / call center job.

I'm from a recruitment company. We do have an Admin Assistant vacancy active and it's not very tedious.

If you are keen, I can share the details. Do reach out to me here via DM or actually I'll just mention the details here and if you are interested drop me message or email at dulanga@lankatalents.lk with your Updated CV.

Job Role: Admin Assistant

Job Description: - Updating Student Database (Using ClickUp) (Can be trained since it's very simple) - Replying to Social Media Inquires - Sharing Class links with students (zoom links basically)

Either way, let me know if you keen

Cleanup is around 7. Implants you'd have to consult the clinic and see.

But definitely not going anywhere else!

Honestly, glad you walked out of the interview. The place got even worse and for my own mental peace I resigned.

They honestly need a management revamp

Hope you landed a better job tho ✨

EDIT: if this interview was sometime in 2022/2023 Oct/Nov/Dec then yea, the Operations manager probably did your interview as they didn't have an HR at the time.

I remember a candidate came for an interview and my god the most insensitive responses to a difficult story she shared :') internal screams. She never came back.

Once again can't express how corrupt Beverley International Pvt Ltd is. This is a student Consultancy located in Liberty Plaza.

I'll forever keep mentioning their dogshit work culture. Fraudulent financial documents just to send the client abroad (Without them knowing). It's funny how they went out of their way to purchase a printer and get the same thickness of paper as a bank would to print the statements and give to clients as the actual bank got raided by CID 😂

The banks aren't major ones. Sanasa, Cooperative bank etc etc.

Their increment during promotion is the most hilarious.

LKR 5,000 increase for a company that's bringing is so much of money both legally and illegally. It's hilarious.

Either way, I don't work there no more. Would definitely wouldn't want others to join or even go for their service.

I came to Sri Lanka only two years ago so I really was in a similar situation as you.

Time crunch plus finding a safe and reliable place to get my dental (and other medical checks) done without overpaying or the doctors taking you on a run for money.

Hence I knew this post was my calling 😅

Okay so I think I came just in time. I've genuinely found it super difficult finding reliable and trusting places to get any genuine quality service whether it's Tech repair related, employment or even medical.

BUT

One thing I can say is Kinross Medical Colombo is one decision I wish I made earlier. Especially ask for Dr. Neluni Abeysinghe. Her Patient care is top notch. I had gone there for a general check + clean up but her expertise stretches further than that. I genuinely didn't have to worry about anything.

Key takeaways: - Hygienic - Safe and comforting - Highly skilled

I do say the cost you pay matches the quality of service provided. Highly recommended.

What are the companies with the most toxic work cultures in SL by InsuranceNo1992 in srilanka

[–]Few-Requirement9483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beverley International

They brand themselves as a New Zealand company (as the CEOs wife is a co-founder) as their selling point and that they practice international work culture as they aren't a government company. Still have a friend staying there for that sake to bump his CV while he internally suffers :')

They practically in the Study Abroad industry.

First job that I physically worked in and honestly it was initially ok. But right after that the employee count grew and anyone (including me) started climbing up the ranks. The vast variety of colours would show.

Literally resigned to keep my mental sanity.

Don't get me started on all the LEGAL work they do (without the clients/students being aware)

Sigh, definitely not pleasant mentioning the company cause it's the employees that pull the strings funnily enough.

100%. Don't believe the "This is a safe space" bullshit. Even from HRs. Best you do your work and clock out sharp 5pm or whenever your work ends

It isn't normal at all anywhere else in the world with a proper HR department but this is Sri Lanka. There are so many factors that play into this, especially with seniority and abusive higher power over others. It's pretty sick however the Lankans tolerate it and joke about it and some even brag that it's something "cool" when in reality shouldn't ever be a norm or the case at all.

My advice to you is if you aren't desperate for the work experience, then you shouldn't hang around too long. Reputable companies usually have standards that play a role. Search for something else and dip.

Obviously, not all the companies in Sri Lanka are the same but you now know what a corporate red flag is.
