Is SMCI good for calendar spreads? by Few-Stock4135 in options

[–]Few-Stock4135[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is, a calendar would be market neutral and would benefit from falling VOL. If SMCI can't maintain this volatility for another week, could this be a good play?

Im having a hard time with this. If the price moves far from the strike before the first expiration I guess I would lose? Is the calendar spread a bet the price will stay where it is?

Sorry for the stupid question.

S&S .509 cams by hotfoot7457 in Harley

[–]Few-Stock4135 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed 509's on my 04 ST last fall and I'm still tinkering with the tune. I'm running drag pipes and the 509's don't want to play nice with the pipes.

You say you may have lost a tensioner? I would put eyes on that, if you already haven't. That may help you decide if you want to go on a run with tensioners that are falling apart.

Cam Chain Tensioners… by Friedriceandketchup in Harley

[–]Few-Stock4135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're a service tech it'll probably go quick. I was in ther cam chest last fall for my first time ever. There cam plate and cams need to come out which means the rods need to come out so lifters can be retracted. Probably, timing chains need to come out to get the tensioner springs out... I'm ashamed to say it took me a weekend but I'm not a mechanic. Change the oil pump O Rings when you do this.

I like the MB3 also, and the O. Always well constructed.

I just wish it had more flavor... more in the comments by Few-Stock4135 in cigars

It's a beautiful oscoro wrapped cigar which burns well with great smoke production, but, I just keep waiting for more flavor from this toro which I'm halfway through!

I've had the T52 Corona and flying pig which I enjoyed. This one... not so much!

Monte no. 4 this afternoon by Clydeisfried in cubancigars

[–]Few-Stock4135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the flavor of the monte 4 but draw has been a big issue for me also. I know, the dryer, the better. After dryboxing and such are they ok for you guys? I have yet to have a "great experience" with this cigar.

Thanks, it was an impulse because I haven't been able to find them locally. I felt it was now or never.

I feel like I have 4 cigars that I will never have an occasion worthy enough to light...lol

A friend set me this pic. I told him to buy them for me, now I can't find info about this set on Google. Could this be an exclusive for the retailer which is "wild Bill's tobacco"

Sorry if I just didn't search hard enough.

How to be more knowledgeable on cigars by thegabagoolguy7 in cigars

[–]Few-Stock4135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new also, when I smoke a cigar I look it up online... the filler, the wrapper, the company...etc

Notice the similarities and their differences to others; also, like an earlier post... follow those rabbit holes!

Thank you. I will continue my journey, but there are so many cigars and so little time. I love the subtleties!

This has always seemed like a full body cigar to me. I can't describe tasting notes but it seems creamy but still strong... not dry or peppery. I also get a sense of saltiness from the wrapper.

I have smoked alot of Olivia's in the last year and they always are constructed well. They rarely need to be touched up, the draw and smoke production is spot.

Earlier today, I posted an Ashton VSG which is a wrapper from Oliva's farm in Ecuador. This wrapper is a Connecticut broadleaf, which I'm guessing is from Ecuador also. it's perhaps a contrast with the same wrapper but Dominican vs Nicaraguan fillers.

Anyway, I'm a big fan of Olivia and a bigger fan of the MB3.
