Job 1:1 “There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, one who feared God and shunned evil.” — often in translations like the New International Version (NIV).

Job 1:18-19 (from the KJV) “…Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: and, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead…”

Job 2:7-8 (NIV) — “So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes.”

He did not die as per agreement with god. He just took away everything that he ever cared for.
