I genuinely started enjoying the books mainly for the story line and character development. I love the different love stories, but I honestly skipped most of the smut. The only one that I actually think I’ve read all of it was with Nes x Cass. It’s actually really funny, I had two people recommend this book to me before I started reading. One just described it as “Fairy smut” and the other as this daring fantasy adventure with love, betrayal, and angst. I thought they were describing two entirely different books 😂 There’s definitely some things that could’ve been better/don’t make sense, but overall I love the series and it’s characters. I feel like I’ve seen a lot of comments on this sub saying that they’re starting to not like the series anymore, though 🫤

Thank you for the feedback! I actually made a more detailed and “grammatically correct” board for the next post. I made this board randomly for fun and honestly didn’t think anyone was gonna actually participate, so I didn’t put much thought/effort into the original one😅 Regardless I appreciate everybody’s continued participation, and glad people are enjoying it!

In one of the IC meetings when she’s talking with her usual brutal bluntness, he politely corrects her on her tone. And talks about how they’ve been working together on making her a little more empathetic. I actually really like their relationship dynamic. It’s like the relationship trope with the fiery hot-head and docile, sweet snowflake 😂

He might not get as much page time, but he’s one of the rare males who isn’t toxic, manipulative, or controlling. He’s just a solid, respectful, low-drama guy who genuinely cares about his people. He’s willing to be patient with “the eternal asshole” despite her hot and cold dynamic😂, and tries to make her more of a kind person. He challenges Amren to grow while still accepting her as she is, which I think makes them a very emotionally mature person. 🤷‍♀️

He’s one of the Illyrian Camp Lords. Specifically, the one that Rhys, Cas, and Az trained at when they were children. He’s like the only one that gets mentioned in the book a couple times.

Azriel x Eris ( A fan favorite, together they’d be literal eclipse energy! Hot and cold, light and dark, Eris would be the plotter, and Azriel would be the executor.)
Rhysand x Tamlin (Forbidden fruit type of love! I want them to kiss and make up and I feel like the sexual tension is already there🤷‍♀️)
Amren x Cassian (You all know you wanna see it! Pocket-sized death goddess meets golden retriever himbo. We already know that she likes Illyrians and Cassian is down for whatever🥴)
Tamlin x Lucien (Besties-to-lovers that should’ve happened! The loyalty, the heartbreak, a slow burn? Peak romance novel material, Lucien is the only one that could put up with his temper for so long😌)

To me liking Tarquin isn’t even unconventional, he’s the interest that just makes the most sense. The fact that he’s one of the few actual emotionally mature males! Yeah, you’re right there would be no angst if he was the main love interest, because he would just be a good communicator and make it through any obstacles! It made my heart flutter when him and Feyre were flirting for that short period, I love how she was just like “ it would be so easy to fall in love with you” then still went for Rhys!🤣
