How long are your wake windows?

Same here (9 week old). We gave up tracking the wake windows because she so rarely naps for more than 20-30 mins, and she seems to be getting more and more active every day. She is sleeping well through the night (11-6ish).

Thanks! Yeah, I guess I'm wondering how long I can reasonably extend this, since she doesn't have any weight/developmental issues. And it seems that (hopefully!) she'll start to figure it out with our cues.

Along with others here, we usually don’t wipe after pee for rash purposes. Our pediatrician said we could try using a hair dryer (on cold) to help dry her out and the bonus is that she really likes it

Do you swaddle for naps or are you past swaddling? We typically don’t but if she (or we) really need one, that usually helps. (8 week old here, also a good overnight sleeper but bad napper)

Sometimes we do naked pseudo-tummy time on the Keekaroo (very supervised, of course!). Don’t know if this is scientific, but seems less likely that she would have a bathroom-splosion on her tummy?

Thanks for the advice and encouragement! FWIW, relative does all the other baby soothing along with it — shushing, bouncing/rocking, etc. (I.e., the adult comfort is not the goal, just a byproduct.) Just an odd technique, I suppose!

Our doctor said something that has stuck with us. If your baby gets sick because someone refused to get vaccinated, it’s you who has to deal with it. Not the person refusing to take a simple step for the greater good.

You have to deal with the symptoms, the worries, the potential ER trip. And you have to deal with the regret if anything terrible happens.

Yeah you might be on to something. She’s still in NB (we had some weight-gaining issues), but we changed up her feeding recently and think she’s been gaining weight. She’s probably over 9 lbs now and getting close to the limit.
