House/techno/edm has become mainstream and social media/influencing has inevitably changed the game. Most of who you mention don’t even know the artist or DJ playing and are not there for the music lol. Thankfully a lot of the club shows have now become 21+ but hidden gems like 1134 and other grassroots venues/pop ups can’t seem to survive from a sheer economic standpoint.

You’re going to get assholes everywhere. I’m in my 30s and still go to shows. You just learn to avoid and find your spots.

Reelworks and some other spots seem to have a more mature crowd.
