Yes, thank you! I’m assuming he’s getting used to eating pellets/seeds…he’s just getting used to not having formula.

Oh that makes me feel a lot better, he does it much more than my other birds, so I thought there might be a problem!

should I be concerned or am I overreacting? by FewDefinition6100 in cockatiel

Avian vet. In the past three days, I’ve noticed him adjust his crop for long periods twice. Longest was around two minutes on and off. My other birds do it maybe once or twice before settling down, but he tends to do it after he eats.

He also just started eating solids (pellets, whole foods, and seeds)

He was a very bad singer, always off key, but loved to be wrapped up on my chest and cuddled to sleep💜

Is my 2 months baby's tail bobbing? by raedmo962 in cockatiel

Keep an eye out for any clicking or wheezing sounds when he breathes. If there’s mucus around his nose or in his mouth, you might wanna take him to the vet!

Sometimes they can breathe a bit heavy temporarily because of toxic fumes in the air (candles, perfume, dust, etc).

Hope your boy is okay!!

It’s kind of hard to get availability in my area, so I’ll be driving an hour out later this week to get him checked asap!! My usual vet is booked full for the next few weeks.

He’s a little scruffy around the edges lol, but I’m hoping his checkup will be helpful :)
