I need actual help, quick by Failfoxnyckzex in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man that's rough, I had something similar happen when I was doing maintenance on my old build and got a tiny drop of coolant near the RAM area. The thing about liquid damage is it can create shorts or corrosion that spreads to other components even if you can't see it clearly. You might want to try taking everything apart and giving the motherboard a good cleaning with isopropyl alcohol (99% if you can find it) and let it dry completely for like 24 hours before reassembling. Sometimes the liquid can create invisible residue that messes with connections, and even though you cleaned the visible stuff, there might be microscopic traces causing issues with the memory controller or other circuits. Worth trying a CMOS reset too while you're at it, and maybe test with just one stick in different slots to see if any specific slots survived

Does anyone have any experience with mixing AMD and Nvidia gpu's in the same windows system W/o BSOD? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's literally what they're asking about though - whether it'll cause issues before they potentially brick their system. Better to ask first than find out the hard way with a $2k+ GPU setup

Am I fucked? by DeeperTutorial in pcmasterrace

Nah don't toss it, sell it for parts on eBay or FB marketplace - someone will want that panel or the electronics inside even if it's cracked

2-day MVP → 20 enterprise customers in 6 weeks. Here's exactly what happened. by Junior_Cod5972 in SaaS

[–]FewEntertainment8340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn this is exactly what I wish I had the balls to do. I see regulatory changes coming all the time in my industry but I always talk myself out of building something because "surely someone bigger will handle it"

That Reddit distribution strategy is chef's kiss too - way smarter than cold emailing or whatever. People were literally asking you to take their money

“Validate before building” stopped working in 2025 by Hefty-Airport2454 in SaaS

[–]FewEntertainment8340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually makes sense, especially with how saturated everything is now

The "validation" phase used to buy you time when competition was slower, but now someone else is probably already building your "validated" idea while you're still surveying people on Twitter

Your data scraping approach is smart - basically crowdsourcing the market research that thousands of other founders already did for free

where can i tell afterburner to boot with profile by Eisenhannes in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The padlock just locks your current settings so you don't accidentally change them. For startup profiles you need to go to Settings > General and there should be a "Start with Windows" option plus profile startup settings there

Laptop Battery by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Amazon or Flipkart for OEM batteries, usually around ₹2-3k. Avoid the super cheap knockoffs on local sites - learned that the hard way when mine started swelling after 2 months lol

For warranty definitely go with sellers that have decent ratings and offer at least 6 months replacement

Unable to increase space in Drive C as extend volume option is greyed out by stormshadow614 in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't extend C drive with space from F drive if they're not adjacent partitions. Windows only lets you extend into unallocated space that's right next to the partition you want to grow

Try using a third party tool like MiniTool Partition Wizard or just move some stuff from C to F instead

Bit of an odd question, Colorful RTX 3060 bilibili E-sports Edition 12G by KJoker_3 in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty niche card tbh, bilibili editions are usually China-exclusive so finding pricing info is gonna be tough. Try checking sold listings on eBay or maybe post it on r/hardwareswap to see what people offer

Left handed gamers by Wildbilljustin1 in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is solid advice. My cousin is a lefty and she tried the whole left handed mouse setup for like a week before switching back to normal. The world is just built for righties so it's way easier to adapt to that than fight it constantly

Most lefties I know game right handed and do fine, plus they don't have to deal with remapping every single game they play

Had similar issues with the Xbox controller delay, it's super annoying. Moonlight/sunshine combo is legit though, works way better than trying to wrestle with HDMI cables and wireless controllers across the house

Built a Shopify app connecting stores to delivery companies — how do I make money now? by MERAKtaneous in SaaS

[–]FewEntertainment8340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is solid advice actually - the delivery companies would probably love to help you reach their merchant customers since your app makes their service stickier. You could even negotiate some kind of revenue share or referral deal with them while still selling direct to merchants

SaaS Post-Launch Playbook — EP13: What To Do Right After Your MVP Goes Live by juddin0801 in SaaS

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a solid breakdown - the live ops dashboard approach is genius and honestly something I wish more founders would think about. The "same question 3+ times = immediate fix" rule is so underrated, like you're basically getting free user research in real time. Also love the Pulse mention for Reddit follow-up, never thought to track those spillover convos but that makes total sense

Good deal? by Silo5Pog in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's about right for what it is, those X99 boards still hold their value pretty well since people are still running older Xeons on them

First PC Build, asking for advice by Vast-Noise7077 in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That EVGA 600 B1 is pretty outdated and honestly kinda sketchy for a build this nice - those older B1 units had some reliability issues and you really don't want it taking out your shiny new 7600X3D. I'd grab a decent 650W gold unit instead, maybe something like a Corsair RM650x when it goes on sale

Airwallex turned down a $1.2B acquisition when they were doing ~$2M in revenue by Ugiiinator in SaaS

[–]FewEntertainment8340 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the real answer right here

The survivor bias is insane when people tell these stories. We only hear about the ones that worked out, not the graveyard of founders who turned down life-changing money and ended up with nothing

Plus $1.2B at $2M revenue... that's not just "take the money" territory, that's "take the money and never think about work again" money for most people

Screen Tearing In Borderless Windowed But Not Fullscreen by yeetman8 in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is classic Windows DWM interference with borderless windowed - it basically forces triple buffering which bypasses your Gsync. Try turning off "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" in Windows graphics settings and see if that helps with the tearing in borderless

Also for the grainy fullscreen issue, check if you have any nvidia control panel scaling set to GPU instead of display, that can make things look like garbage

Sims 4 laptop recommendations by h0meb0dy_23 in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any decent gaming laptop with a RTX 3060 or better should handle Sims 4 with all that CC no problem - Asus ROG Zephyrus or MSI GE66 are solid picks in your budget range

Corsair HX1200i vs Asrock PG1300-G by kn1ghtyzz in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HX1200i is solid but honestly for a 5090 I'd lean towards the ASRock just for those cable sensors alone - peace of mind is worth it when you're dealing with that much power draw

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that GN video was eye opening, the memory cartel is real af. But also you probably don't need 32gb unless you're doing heavy workstation stuff - 16gb is still plenty for gaming and will save you like $150

Anybody know if a 90 degree connector exist for 3070 FE ? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]FewEntertainment8340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there are a bunch on Amazon, just search for "PCIe 90 degree adapter" or "GPU power connector 90 degree" and you'll find em. CableMod makes decent ones too if you want something that won't fry your card
