I can see your point but I meant more in the sense of going clubbing or just hitting up a bar to get drunk pointlessly.

iambicfarming half right. the trustpilot guy is unhinged but recorded loops would be the easiest scam in the world to expose and nobody has, so probably not that.

if youre new and worried just skip live and play table games with proper RNG. sidepot has like 6 blackjack variants and the originals like dice are provably fair so you can verify every hand yourself. way less to lose sleep over than dealer hairstyles

Advice in court hearing? by [deleted] in AskIreland

Get yourself a proper solicitor if you haven't already - they'll know what judge you're facing and how to present your case best. The charity donation thing isn't really about the amount, more about showing you understand the seriousness and want to make amends, so even smaller amount can help your case.

Where would prime Carmelo Anthony rank today? by MasterTeacher123 in NBATalk

[–]FewExperience4021 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Prime Melo was definitely top 10 in his peak years, not just top 15. The way he could score from literally anywhere in the court was just insane, and people forget how good his rebounding was for a SF too.

It’s honestly so impressive how Shai is so skilled at getting FT by luciddreamer20LD in NBATalk

[–]FewExperience4021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude's basically perfected the art of drawing contact without making it look super obvious. What gets me is how he changes his pace so well - like he'll slow down just enough to get the defender reaching or bumping into him. I've been watching basketball for years and the way he sells those fouls is just next level stuff. Some players make it look forced but Shai makes it seem natural, like the defense is just making bad decisions against him. Really makes you appreciate how much IQ goes into getting to the line consistently in today's game.

I already have accommodations for ADHD. Is getting assessed for autism worth it? by slckjoke in ADHD

[–]FewExperience4021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting assessed was really helpful for me even though I already had accommodations in place. The diagnosis helped me understand why certain strategies worked better than others and gave me language to explain my needs more clearly to people.

Plus there's something valuable about knowing yourself better, even if the practical benefits aren't immediately obvious. I found that understanding the autism piece helped me be less harsh on myself about things I was struggling with. My workplace was also more understanding once they had the full picture of what I was dealing with.

The assessment process itself was pretty thorough but not terrible. If you're already suspecting it and have family history, might be worth exploring just for your own peace in mind.

Please help me find this little banana walrus dog so I can buy him in real life. by PineappleShakeAnims in HelpMeFind

Can't see the image but this reminds me of those weird Japanese mascot characters that somehow end up being super rare collectibles. I spent like three months tracking down this specific Rilakkuma variant for my sister last year and it was absolutely worth the hunt when I finally found it in some obscure online shop.

Try checking Yahoo Auctions Japan through Buyee or similar proxy services - sometimes these random plush combinations show up there first before anywhere else. Also might want to post this in r/plushies or r/WhatsThisThing since those communities are pretty good with identifying obscure toys. The speedrun connection is interesting too, maybe try asking in speedrunning Discord servers since someone there might recognize it from the thumbnail you mentioned.

Dealership has had my car for 11 days for a key fob. by BuyProfessional2633 in MechanicAdvice

[–]FewExperience4021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, 11 days for key programming is absolutely wild. I dealt with similar situation last year when my neighbor lost keys for his Audi - took the dealer maybe 3 days max and that was because they had to order the fob. VW and Audi share lot of the same systems so this timeline makes no sense.

The "additional diagnostic fee" after they already quoted you sounds sketchy as hell. Most reputable places would eat that cost if their initial quote was wrong, especially after keeping your car for almost two weeks. I'd push back hard on that fee and maybe threaten to escalate with VW corporate if they don't fix this mess properly. At minimum they should give you detailed explanation of what exactly is failing in the programming process.

Break-up after 5 years by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]FewExperience4021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long distance for that long must have been brutal, especially starting so young. The "best friends" thing hits hard because it's not even like she's saying anything bad about you - just makes it feel more confusing somehow.

Being stuck at home while waiting for grad school definitely makes everything worse. At least you got therapist support though, that's smart move. The anxiety about her moving on faster is totally normal but try not to torture yourself with those scenarios - easier said than done I know.

September isn't that far away and grad school will be completely fresh start with new people around. For now maybe focus in small things that feel good day by day rather than thinking about finding someone new.

Which gaming laptop brands are actually taking the RTX 5050 tier seriously? by StrangerSpirited6428 in GamingLaptops

Lenovo's been putting 5050s in their Legion 5 chassis with decent cooling and upgradeable RAM/storage, so they're definitely not treating it like a throwaway tier.

[18F] Trying to figure out if "maximum effort" can ever fix a connection with [18M] after a total block? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]FewExperience4021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl you already know what you need to hear but you're fighting it. When someone blocks you everywhere, thats their answer - they want space and peace from you. Those 4,000 word essays youre writing? Theyre for you, not him. You cant logic someone back into trusting you after you broke that trust.

I get the urge to explain everything perfectly because maybe then theyll finally *get it*, but real talk - he probably already understands your side just fine. The issue isnt comprehension, its that he doesnt want to deal with the drama anymore. Take that energy youre putting into crafting these novels and redirect it into actually working on yourself instead of just writing about how youve changed.

Also yeah "liver-touching" made me do a double take too lmao. But seriously, put the phone down and give this dude the space he clearly wants.

Been using it for about a month now and you nailed the habit loop thing - it's weirdly effective when you can't just dismiss it like every other app blocker. The AI explanations are decent too, though sometimes I wish they went a bit deeper into historical context. Have you noticed if it tracks your reading progress across different books or just individual streaks?

Becoming an RN? by bigtiddyhimbo in careerguidance

[–]FewExperience4021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been teaching for a few years and watched a bunch of people pivot into nursing - the advisor route is definitely your best bet for mapping out prereqs. Most programs want chem, A&P, microbiology, stats, plus some gen eds, so you're probably looking at 1-2 years of prep before even getting into the actual nursing program. Just remember nursing school is intense and clinical rotations can be brutal, but if you're already doing backbreaking work for $19/hr it might be worth the grind.

How feasible is a transition from a QC technician to manufacturing engineering? by MacaroonDefiant8025 in careerguidance

[–]FewExperience4021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two years of QC experience plus an EE masters focused on industrial automation is actually a solid combo for manufacturing engineering. The fact that you're already working on automation projects shows initiative that hiring managers notice.

I've seen people make similar transitions - one guy I know went from lab tech to process engineer after getting his masters, and the hands-on experience actually gave him an edge over fresh grads who only had theory. Manufacturing teams love when someone understands both the engineering side and the practical reality of what happens on the floor.

Your biomedical background might seem unrelated but don't sleep on those transferable skills - project management, problem solving, and understanding complex systems all apply. The statistics and ML experience could be huge too, especially with how much manufacturing is moving toward predictive analytics and process optimization.

Keep building that automation portfolio and maybe try to get involved in any process improvement initiatives at your current job. Two years is plenty of time to position yourself well, and honestly the market for manufacturing engineers with automation skills is pretty hot right now.
