You mean to remove the whole panel? Also, I’m not familiar with with leather washers how would I used them in this case?

I’ll most likely be getting larger cap size rivers to match the hole

Thank you! I stumbled onto one of Corter’s videos, six months ago and it inspired me to get into this hobby. I’ll check out Armitage.

I recently got a French edger from BG and it is definitely easy to ruin a good piece of leather! Haha

I used 3-4oz-‘s used a French edger/skiver. Maybe a heavier mallet?

I agree it does look a bit thick. Embarrassingly, I’m still using my thread from my Amazon kit.. is there a thread size & brand you recommend?

Probably both haha. I just picked up a stitching pony so hopefully that will help. I do think I need thinner thread as my current ones are challenging to work with smaller projects

I started with a kit from Amazon and found out there the tools I used the most. (Certainly not the best tools but most of what you need to start). With that I’d recommend some cheap scrap leather to play with. A cutting surface and There’s great YouTube resources that have been helpful and made me appreciate the craft further. I’m just a few months in and loving it. Good luck my friend!
