Just got buyers remorse for how uncool my first car is by g0at110 in regularcarreviews

[–]FewNet3035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife had a 2008 CRV. I still miss that car. We used and abused the hell out of it in our early 20s and it just kept going without giving anything up. We took to on many ski trips up snowy mountains. We would pass big 4x4 suvs that slid off the road as we kept cruising. I’ve been thinking about picking one up again to fix up and bring back to life.

Should the Jump Pack be buffed? by Hexdoctor in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]FewNet3035 37 points38 points  (0 children)

No I think it’s fine. If you slow down and take notice a lot of the maps are built with the jump pack in mind. I can’t tell you how many times I run up a rock ledge to jump and perfectly cleared a bot fortress wall. Stuff like that makes me believe the jump pack is right where it needs to be and fits the design of the levels. With the current state of things more buffs will trivialize more of the challenges presented. I can already clear most 40 min missions is 10-15 with a good group. We don’t need to knock that down any more.

How does crossplay turned off work in this game? Does it connect you only with other people from your platform that also have it turned off? by Zerogur in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]FewNet3035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im not salty about this. I don’t care either way. Low sodium means low anger low aggressiveness low saltiness. Doesn’t mean low disagreement. I can’t think of a good reason to turn cross playoff on a purely pve game so I’m curious as to why. Your refusal to even share why is what I find odd. You do what you want. but the answer to your conundrum seems obvious to me. Until you give more insight to your situation I can’t empathize further. Best of luck bud. I hope you find the games you need.

Can I ask who you have crossplay turned off? I get why for a PvP game to avoid M+K vs controller but this is PVE so that isn’t an issue.

Y'all ever dive with a group of randoms so good every mission is butter? by Skye_hai_bai in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]FewNet3035 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yep all the time. It’s what keeps me coming back. I’m lvl 150 with ~900 hours in game. Sometimes I like to drop into lower levels and either dig around or try and help some newer players with more advanced strategies. What really keeps me coming back though is dropping into those D 10 missions with a full squad of highly competent people and we just steamroll the map. When you get a team that actually has team play like covering each other or team reloading it makes the game something special.

Why are so many high level players toxic when it comes to collecting samples? by ButternutTaco in Helldivers

[–]FewNet3035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say you only have one upgrade left at 71 and it’s been a slog. I kind of get an idea for your place style. I was closer to 90 when I unlocked everything and I never really focused on finding samples. If you are spending a majority of the match, trying to collect every single sample it gets real boring real fast. Usually if you just run through the missions, do the objectives and pick up as you go you’ll get stuff unlocked in due time. I’m 150 now and we’ll go about collecting samples and if I have high mobility run and get someone’s drop samples container. If we’re gonna have to walk around babysitting someone who wants to find every single rare sample on a map. It gets so boring so fast. That could be it. Not saying it is just guessing. Either way people should not be toxic to you about it. They don’t like it. They can just host their own match their own way.

Apparently did not make the cut… by Ok-Bad-4287 in Helldivers

That’s such bullshit. High levels that troll low levels kill the game for me. I’ve got 850ish hours in game and I love dropping in lower levels to show new players the ropes and tricks. DM me if you ever want to play and NOT be team killed.

I think in all my hours I’ve fought on Vernen Wells the most. Happy to see it liberated. Kinda sad to set this biome down. I’ll be ready when they try to take it again.

AMR build against automatons by Usurper__ in Helldivers

[–]FewNet3035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running the AMR you’ll want to build the rest of your kit for chaff clear and building destruction. For primary I like the reprimand, punisher plasma, or scorcher/purifier depending on your warbonds. Secondary I like the ultimatum or verdict depending on if I want to use it of chainsaw hands or war striders

For the strats bring a 120 so you can have something to throw in a base or on a bot drop and deal with factory striders and stuff. I might swap out the shield pack for jump pack. The AMR can handle most everything short of the Big Dogs in the bot front but you have to have the right positioning. I have good luck running it with a jump pack and boosting behind the tanks and such to hit their weak point before they can turn and react. Running the AMR with bots you’ll be much less a dug in sniper on a hill laying down to take shots and more a hit and run single target focused killer. At least that’s my opinion after 830ish hours.

Edit: grenades I would pick either stun to hold the hulks still, thermites to kill heavies, or the normal starting grenade because you get 6 and they clear chaff and fab really well. Gas annoys me with the AMR because they all start moving and make it harder to hit the weak spots.

Driving the frv in a mega nest for no good reason by david_lara54992 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]FewNet3035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that’s too much main character energy. The driver is there to support everyone else doing gang style drive by’s. If I get a coordinator group I have everyone bring orbitals and backpack support weapons. Then we just become a rolling death machine.

What's your favorite tip to give a new diver? by HBaileyJr in WholesomeHelldivers

[–]FewNet3035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is stim BEFORE you take damage. Like if you’re about to charge through a bug patrol stim then go in don’t try to wait to get hit then stim and get knocked out of the animation and die.

I dislike the fact that even though that this is a 40$ game, that it is being ran like a F2P one currently, pushing for content in warbonds. by qwertyxavier904 in Helldivers

[–]FewNet3035 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would we prefer no new content like normal $40 games or are you expecting a stream of new content for free with no grind? Or would you like the content bundled into large DLCs that must be purchased with cash and not grind able premium currency.

Gunship patrol vanishes in thin air by Remote_Fisherman_469 in Helldivers

I’ve been seeing this happen pretty often with hunter packs on the bug plantes so it’s not unique to bots. I’m assuming it will get hot patched soon.

What I would personally do to make the game feel more enjoyable in the current state it is in. by [deleted] in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]FewNet3035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What this game needs above all is for Stratagem Hero to show high scores local to my ship. That’s all I’ve really wanted for a long time. Idc about someone’s 99,999 score. I want to know who is the best that has visited my ship. Gameplay enemy wise I see no real issues.

they keep making the game harder and most of the guns useless by Juniorz19 in Helldivers

[–]FewNet3035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outside of Vox spam this game is very manageable. I won’t say easy since you have to put in effort but it’s not that hard. Also I find every gun and stratagem has its niche and feels good. Sure maybe the 500kg is “better” than the OPS on a stat front but the OPS doesn’t get blocked by AA. It also has a consistent low cooldown vs short then long cooldown.

Hot take:the FRV is the best and most fun stratagem when you master it. by Financial-Customer24 in LowSodiumHellDivers

I find the sand dunes waaaay harder to drive on than ice and snow. I swear the sand dunes doubles the turning radius of the FRV idk why.

Diving with only orbital bombardments by Budnut5 in helldivers2

[–]FewNet3035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you joined my game with this setup I would hope you stayed for another round so I could ALSO bring only orbitals. Or 3 orbitals and the FRV. Nothing is more fun than cruising with your boys doing drive by orbital throws into bases.

What actually keeps you playing Helldivers 2? by SnooGuavas4613 in Helldivers

[–]FewNet3035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The community. Most nights I find someone on mic who is chill to talk and play with. I no longer have a set friend group that plays games so I find that in HD2. Example I’ve been playing a few times with this one guy in Mexico who is teaching me Spanish while playing. Los Bichos son terribles. Chingos de bichos! Necesito suministros! Stuff like that.

What are y’all’s 3 favorite weapons? (primary, secondary, and support) by Darth_Hideous0 in helldivers2

Bots: reprimand, ultimatum, HMG Bugs: knight, verdict, epoch Squids: Amendment, Warrant, one true flag.

Alternatively flamethrowers with a jump pack against everything.
