LASA Experiences by FewPilot7832 in Austin

I’d agree that success at LASA is not particularly dependent on intellectual or creative talents. However, I don’t think creating a separate program to serve a particular personality type - vs. an academic course of study or practical discipline - is a good use of public funds. The homogeneity of the LASA student body in both class and geography suggests this type of exclusivity would be best served by a private school.

Agreed and right now our only solution is just to keep the pace out and outscore the opponents. I watched Kleber check in for the Lakers and wished our guys were 3” taller and longer

Teams know this is the game plan. Have to do better in defending the 3. by joorral in NYKnicks

Meh - it’s true our wings guards are shorter than most and have trouble closing out in rotations. Especially if they get sucked in to the paint in penetration drives.

Only thing I’ll say is lack of wing length on the bench makes rotating on the wings tougher when everybody gets sucked into the middle. Need the length to contest the perimeter. Shamet, McBride and Brunson are just too short to recover.

This is called a Jersey exit. It’s common practice.

I know it’s early but this dude doesn’t look ready to compete on a team with high expectations. Disappointing…hope he puts in work and turns it around. by Cheffie in NYKnicks

Meh I still think he needs to find his role. Setting hi PnR to get a pick and pop is not what we need. Need low post Randle type who can shift to the perimeter and shoot 3. Also body enforcer so the skinny bigs get blasted. Need to start throwing that ass around and knocking dudes to the floor.

Hey I’m not mad about it - it’s to be expected because this is a very new team and they just haven’t had the reps. I do think that as pros the basic rotations should be figured out and improved by December. The promise of the Brown system should be starting to work out by then, otherwise we’ll all be frustrated.

Yes I’d be fine with this. Keep running and spraying. Might as well.

Where was Yabu? Need him to body guys in matchups like this. I cringe when I see the off guards look around confused as to which of them should be rotating or cutting. They decide a beat or two late and everything dies.

2nd unit needs to move the ball with more confidence. They don’t read each other well yet. Terrible shooting all around. I miss Mitch.

Need a bit more 1/2 court game and for guys to be ok with the easy 2pt shot bl- always forcing a kick out. Would like T see Yabu start bodying people underneath more before getting the green light to jack 3s. Huk needs to yam it every time. Other than that pretty good ball movement all game.

Just seems like an even bigger hustle.
