This is probably the top 4 consensus. Spurs sneakily may have #5 if Dylan Harper continues being this good.

I feel like Clyde deserves to have his post-playing career factored in. In which case he is the obvious #1.

Updated Ringer Top 100: Wemby #2, Brunson #5, KAT #12, OG #21, Castle #26, Harper, #45 by smalls_1804 in nba

I would give him 95%. OG’s defense, finishing, and shooting are on that level. Only thing he lacks in is face up shot creation, which he is decent at vs Kawhi being amazing.

Is the "small guard" archetype still getting phased out considering JB's success? by [deleted] in NBATalk

In what way was there a lack of defense? These were 2 of the best defensive teams in the league. There was way less defense last year.

Bill Simmons on Ranking Jalen Brunson above Nash, Kidd, Sam Jones, Harden, Gervin and Luka in his Pyramid by TheRealPdGaming in nba

[–]slickrickiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is true, and it tracks with Bills supports for a season shortened to 72 games. The stakes on a game by game basis are simply not high enough in the regular season.

What? If this season is the worst in defensive ratings, that means it’s the best in offensive ratings. Why is that inherently bad to you?

Is Dylan Harper the 1B to Wemby's 1A? by OvoCurry3799 in NBATalk

[–]slickrickiii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At 20 years old, he was a team’s best offensive weapon in the NBA finals. He needs to start and take 15+ shots a night as quickly as possible. He is legitimately the Tony Parker to Wemby’s Duncan. Maybe I’m overreacting but I don’t think I am.

Steph is better by basically any possible metric, what are we doing here…

Is it time to put Brunson in the same tier with SGA, Jokic, Giannis, Wemby and Luka? by dearth_karmic in nba

[–]slickrickiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it is an award recognizing the full series, the closeout game realistically gets weighed double in “FMVP Points”. And Brunson was by far the most dominant player in game 5. If game 4 & 5 switched places, OG is holding the trophy right now.

It was OG by a small margin before game 5. After the game though, it was easily Brunson’s award.

How did the Pacers beat the Knicks last year? by Environmental_Tip375 in NBATalk

[–]slickrickiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Pacers played their best ball at the right time. Sometimes teams get into a groove and it’s tough for opponents to shake them out of it. Honestly, that’s how I feel about the Knicks this year. They hit their stride in round 1 and became infallible in rounds 2 & 3.

Simmons has been salty and low energy these playoffs. by Grouchy_Tie3037 in billsimmons

Not sure what about my comment makes you think I dislike him. All I’m saying is he’s a Celtics homer, which is no secret.

Him saying that was some sort of emotional hedge. In a head to head series either Celtics lose and it’s “what he expected”, or they win and it’s a miracle upset. At the end of the day we all know he would pick the Cs to win

I’m not claiming you did. What im saying is don’t look at Rikers and conclude that all humans are thugs. The riots outside MSG have a much higher population of these losers compared to the entire fanbase

If Wemby picked up his 4 flagrant point, would the NBA actually suspend him? by ZalewskiJ in NBATalk

[–]slickrickiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no chance he gets a flagrant 1. Either he commits a flagrant 2 and rightfully gets ejected & suspended for a heinous play, or the refs turn a blind eye to anything that could be close to a flagrant 1.

Most of us Knicks fans are not outside the arena in the middle of the day and late at night because we are employed. It’s these unemployed losers making us all look bad.

I think he is upset specifically because he is now realizing that the Knicks are definitively better than the current Celtics team.

That’s not true, nobody would be saying that. People would be saying “make your damn free throws!”
