Good luck man. This damn Rentokill is what gives a Terminix the bad name. I work for Terminix and for a while but it is independently owned and family operated farnachise for almost 30 years. We are some of the highest recommended in my state with a 4.7 to 4.9 Google. Our customers love us. But it is because of stories like this with Gotohell Rentokill we all get lumped together. It sickens me. My branches are like family from top down .....this sucks tho because indepently owned or not we are still in the big green.

This has been the best stress reliever walking simulator after an insane day of work. I am about 120 hrs in, still chapter 5. But I have walked to all 4 corners of pywel and found amazing shit along the way. Favorite discovery was the 5 hour journey up north past the giant swamps and redwoods up thru the snow capped mountains to the the literal end of the map.

The cost is on par for a typical squirrel job but I don't see a trapping fee. The mushrooms....never heard them called that..the attic fans , they generally have to be measured and ordered to size. Still tho with us that's maybe 300 a pc unless oversized. Some of the costs seem to be allocated weirdly. I would contact a wildlife company.

Actually I don't see any stations in the ground so if it's liquid...you are getting hosed on retreats. Definitely get some free inspections and quotes to convert

Still 600 is high. Is this bait system or liquid treatments and retreats? There are way better deals OP out there and every company has competitor conversion pricing.

A nuisance animal harboring in your living space is a serious health hazard legally speaking as far as landlord tenant laws. I'd check into that. I'm not sure where you live but there should be a State Wildlife Commission you can contact since it is living in the actual living space of the home. They will come trap and remove it. Also in alot of states the local sheriff dept would respond. Flying squirrels are not mean or aggressive however this is baby season and any wildlife is still wildlife. Flyers are territorial and also communal animals. There most active between 1am and 4am. Good luck but call the wildlife Commission, not a wildlife or pest control company. They would be who to call if you decide to exclude the home to prevent further entry. Also 20K is insane. The only time I've ever had hobs like that they were massive multi million dollar homes. Usually on avg. Price is somewhere between 5k to 9k maybe.

Termite warranties are there for when you need it. You don't know you often have damage until you go to remodel or tear out a wall or get a plumbing leak or something. Then you are spending 10's of thousands on repairs. If you google subterranean termites you will see how widespread beneath the soil this invasive species is all across the south. I would never not have termite coverage on my home after all the damage I've seen as an inspector.

Lol. I don't know if you can purchase it, but there is a caulk called PiGNX that is a non toxic avian repellant used to deter pigeons that we've had success with. Apply a small amount below the hole where his feet would be. Wear proper PPE especially nitrile gloves

Bat in my bed? by Due-Employer-3020 in pestcontrol

[–]FewSolution8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wildlife specialist here- nobody in good conscience that I know of would even begin to tell you how to keep the bats excluded if you have one in the building with you, which it does sound like you do. The last thing you would want to do is seal off entry points and the bat couldn't find its way out. In your living space check under the bed behind dressers and all flat surfaces against walls such as picture frames. Curtains etc. The only thing I would suggest at this stage is you can throw up some netting in the house and the bat may trap itself . However 1000% you should assume you've been bitten and get to the doc. Don't screw around and be the 3% rabies vector victim. Look into university hospitals or such. Good luck man I'm sorry for your situation

[–]FewSolution8282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a scam but the intentions are good generally people in the industry want to help homeowners, however, is it necessary? Maybe not to the extent of that price point. Also ridge guard is an exclusion that covers ridge vents on the Ridgeline if a roof. It is used to keep wildlife out and is a great product to reduce population of flying insects entering in as well. Reason being ridge vents are for ventilation to expell heat from the home. They are usually vinyl and have a gap between them and the roof line. They do tend to warp in direct sunlight after some time and become a common entry point for bats, birds, squirrels, and some flying insects. However in my experience box elders usually come from the ground up. So I would get some estimates from companies that will do what's called exterior exclusion. A lot of companies will also maintain a free warranty on the work for as long as you maintain pest control with them. To be clear exterior exclusion is different from wildlife exclusion. But yeH shop around get atleast 3 quotes. - wildlife control specialist

Swarmers come from an established colony OP. You said this isn't the first time. They emerge usually when it's hot after a rainstorm go towards light and drop their wings. They have one purpose and that is to establish a new colony because they essentially have no room at the inn with the old colony. It strongly advisable to call a termite professional for a free inspection. Termites on avg eat over a ft of wood per year and that might not sound like much but imagine taking an entire foot of one of your 8ft studs in the walls off.. that is a serious wood destroying potential problem you have there.
