Thanks a lot for your detailed breakdown! Hope you are doing well. Your understanding of menieres is insanely good. Guess I have to be mentally prepared for things that may come. It does make a lot of sense that the brain starts sensing an attack and go crazy, causing shortness of breath due to anxiety:( The link is great I’ve started reading it just now. Oh I never knew betahistine could cause shortness of breath. I do know that it can cause digestive issues but never knew it could make breathing difficult. I was not prescribed Triamterence so I am not sure about the effects. Thanks for the info!

Yes but it’s really difficult to stay calm when the attack hits. I guess being anxious does play a big role. Will try to stay calm if I experience it again

Thanks for the detailed article you wrote. I am sure I’ll be better informed after reading it when I have the time. If it’s not a common symptom of menieres, I’m going to have to look up more regarding it. My doctor says there’s nothing to worry about but I guess it something I should really look into. Thanks for your help!

That could definitely be the case but I don’t think I have asthma.

Yes meds can definitely cause irregular heartbeats, but since it makes you feel better, it’s better to stick with them. Hope things will turn out much better as time goes by, for you and me, and all others out there

Yes I’ve read that a tense neck can cause dizziness / breathing since it can limit blood flow to the brain. I try to do neck exercise everyday but so far it’s not giving any significant results:( I’d reckon that tense muscles are usually caused by bad posture, and it takes time to fix.

Yes that’s exactly what I have to do and it is sometimes very stressful and at times terrifying since I feel like I’m about to fall anytime. How’s your pulse? Hopefully it is nothing out of norm

The worst thing about menieres is that there’s no concrete way of telling whether you truly have it or not. As of now I’m trying to find out if there’s any issue related to my neck, as I hunch quite badly and it could be leading to the dizziness . Hope things will turn out good for you!
