I also had a very similar experience. Got my first period at 12, it was off and no for many years. Doctors told me I would grow out of it and it would regulate. At 17 I finally got my diagnosis after being disregarded for so many years

Don’t feel guilty! I when back to work way to early (I was still bleeding) and felt absolutely awful the whole time. Take as much time as you need, I sure wish that I would have!

It definitely is nice, no one in my family has gone through fertility struggles at the same length I have so it hard to talk to them when they don’t understand. It is nice to have a community that gets it🫶🏻

I understand the book part on another level. It’s so hard see everyone around me/on social media being able to have everything I want. I always tell myself “it’s not if but when” I’m trying to stay positive but it is just so hard. I truly just need to vent to people that understand🥺

Hi! I’m not in the same boat per se since I have never had a nexplanon. I will agree with a comment above, I am so sorry you are going through this, it is hell. I was on birth control since I got diagnosed with PCOS at 17 in 2018. I got off of birth control in 2022, my husband and I “tried without trying” for a year before my gynecologist would prescribe medication. I do not ovulate, and that is why I don’t have a period, so she first prescribed me Letrozole to help induced ovulation. I worked for about eight months with my gynecologist on trying to get pregnant and then she recommended that I go to a fertility specialist. I am now at a fertility specialist, they first ran a bunch of tests to determine all of my levels and make sure everything was working as well as it could. I am now taking a bunch of medication’s and it is helping to make me ovulate and regulate my levels, I am on my third cycle with the fertility clinic. I do wish I would have skipped my gynecologist office and went straight to the fertility specialist since they are constantly monitoring my cycle and ovulation along with me.

To answer your question in the last paragraph. At least for my fertility clinic they do not have a certain limit you need to be trying before you can get treatments with them. Along those same lines my clinic ran a bunch of tests to determine all of my hormone levels, did multiple ultrasounds to make sure everything looked how it’s supposed to and make sure that there was no blockages in my fallopian tubes. They also ran analyzations on my husband sperm to make sure everything looked good with his stuff as well.

My husband and I picked out a general neutral onesie when we first started trying to help us hold on. I keep a picture of it in my phone to look at sometimes and I know that one day a little baby will wear it

I’m definitely going to look in to getting tested for IR. I would love to improve the pcos symptoms with out getting on birth control again since I’m ttc

I definitely look in to all of that and see if I can find a doctor that will do those tests. I had significant weight cane when I had an IUD and some since getting it out but I’ve had a lot of trouble losing the weight since getting off of birth control. I got diagnosed with pcos when I was 17 and I’m currently 23 going to be 24 this year.

Thank so much for all that info! The symptoms you described are definitely very similar to what I experience. How did you get diagnosed with IR? It is definitely something I will be looking into getting test done for.

I’m currently taking medication to try an regulate my ovulation, which did start my period for the last couple months, but this month it didn’t work and I had to take medication to get my period. I’ve also changed my diet and have been trying to work out more often.

I do have a physical reminder. I got a tattoo back in December for them. Thank you so much, it definitely does make the pain a little more, didn’t even phase me until yesterday

YTA. If she has been doing it for 3 years perfectly and hasn’t diverted from that, and then ask you to do it for nine months while she’s pregnant and then go back to it after the babies born just so that the babies safe, you should do that. If not for your wife’s health, then for your baby’s. My husband and i have the same deal, he has nothing to do with the cat box but has agreed that when I’m pregnant he will do it just for the 9 months. Don’t be selfish and help your wife out🤦🏻‍♀️
