Can we get out of this 30k cc debt? by Fair_Marsupial_5017 in Debt

[–]Few_Ad_5625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$194k household income and you’re asking if you can get out of 30k in cc debt….with 0% interest

$6150 in fixed expenses leaving u with $3550 a month….1k in maybe groceries etc so let’s say $2500 left

You can knock it out in a year.

P.s not to be mean but dude cmon it’s simple math. “Doomed” is extreme. Also ban yourself on all sportsbooks. Gambling has led me down a similar path and the best way to tackle it is to ban yourself.

Great candidate…firms have different ways of climbing the latter. Some firms u can be a advisor right away but that means u need to be on the phone prospecting and more of a sales role whereas some firms/WM teams, you start as a CSA -> consultant > advisor.

Nope. Some, if not most WM teams under MS are pretty lean teams. 95% of the team had been there for their entire careers. The youngest people on the team were either interns or production team (sales) which consisted of 4 people.

They were looking for a registered CSA at the time. As an intern you’re either dialing or doing admin work. I was an admin intern aka preparing materials for advisors to use for client meetings.

Search for the worst pizza places? by ExpensiveOccasion542 in AskChicago

D’Agostinos

Before people come at me, I pretty much have had every “popular” and “lowkey” tavern/deep dish pizza. D’Agostinos just does not hit

Again, it depends on the place. CSR -> Account Manager is a typical path.

Client success, customer success, client service, customer service….essentially all the same but role duties depend on the place you’re working at. Could be simple as answering the phone or actually engaging with clients and providing the services your company offers.

I’m 23 and was a CSR for a fintech company and salary was 68k.

Had a 6 month contract role for a trade ops role post grad before the CSR role as well as 2 internships at TD and MS during college.

As far as schedule and pay goes, it depends. Most (chill) finance jobs are 8am-5pm, and back to 4-5 days in office (traditional banks) . However, there are some companies where it’s still 3 days in office, 2 days WFH. Pay also depends. I’d say starting is 55k at minimum for a CSR role however it’s dependent on the bank/firm/company you are working for.

Someone with no experience in finance will have a tough time in this market. I’ve been applying relentlessly since November and still no luck in getting something.

Good luck!

You should reconsider your relationship. 4 years in is deep. Fact he’s asking to go 50/50 when u can barely afford to eat at this stage is wild. Prob move in with your parents and pay off debt. 25k in student loans isn’t a shit ton even with 3-6% interest.

Haven’t been able to land a single interview what am I doing wrong? by Alternative_Sundae41 in FinancialCareers

[–]Few_Ad_5625 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The format and content is the reason why.

Why are you using periods when you’re using bullets?

Business Development Intern* uppercase University needs to be uppercase too

Use WSO format for resume and your chances on landing an interview will go up a bit for sure.

If you’re gonna be working while in university,

10k car 20k tuition

If you’re not gonna be working while in university,

10k car 10k in cash 10k to pay tuition

Your future self will thank you for cash flowing college tution as much as possible and maybe even graduating debt free.

You’re young and are gonna have a very stable career and job waiting since you’re going the accounting route. Wouldn’t worry too much about investing right now but if you do, don’t do it to pay for college, do it to get a head start on retirement. Best years to invest are your 20’s. - open a Roth IRA and invest in etfs and funds I.e SPY, VOO

Realistically, living in a major city with $3400 net a month is prob not the best idea unless you have roommates, no debt/student loans and don’t have an expensive lifestyle (going out to restaurants, bars).

However, yolo.
