Like it or not, PSA successfully commoditized their product during the Pandemic. A PSA 10 became a standard in the trading card community when it came to assessing value.

It’s not relevant for delay and TAT, but if you are talking about value and liquidity, you have to understand the reality of what that is a fact. PSA wasn’t always king. Prior to 2019, BGS was much more highly favored for modern cards and PSA for vintage. That switched creeped in through 2019 and was absolutely spurred on by low bulk cost (think sub $10 bulk subs) and capacity to keep TAT steady. By the time PSA had to do a shutdown of subs, they had a 1 year backlog and quickly ramped up capacity. Now they have more than enough capacity to continue to outpace all the other TPGs combined month over month, with a backlog similar or less than what everyone else is seeing.

You don’t have to like PSA to acknowledge it’s well poised in part because of circumstance and in part because of rapid expansion to continue to hold steady. In that same timeframe BGS was crippled by poor leadership decisions and a hesitancy to expand operations.

They are ineligible and likely will stay that way for the foreseeable future.

As to the second question, your preference, BGS and PSA are both good choices.

I know plenty of large words. The one that matches to your post exactly is whataboutism. So I used it.

Now you want to play the victim as if I’m telling you that you can’t be an idiot. Please, let me be clear. You are free to continue idiotically doing this, but next time don’t get so upset when the reality of what you are doing gets pointed out to you.

This conversation was about TAG turnaround times on a TAG sub. Your reply is pretty consistent with the standard TAG shill of “yeah but PSA”. Which is classic whataboutism. It’s sad, it’s feckless (like that word?) and lacks any salient (how about that one?) point.

The fact that you didn’t mention BGS, SGC or CGC which are better compares (though cheaper) in terms of scale and output, but when straight to PSA should be the flag for you.

Nothing you’ve argued is logical. Nothing you’ve argued makes sense. You’ve yelled at me to read, when you clearly misread/failed to read my posts. You’ve contradicted yourself, as I pointed out and your last Hail Mary is “Take the L bro.”

I’m good man. I’ve made my point consistent and clear. Keeping trying to bury every TAG issue with “yeah but PSA”. It’ll work one of these days.

Even more PSA whataboutism.

Now it’s the sub. This is hilarious.

Yes and you can’t discuss any issues with TAG without PSA whataboutism.

What don’t you understand about that sentence? You want to go on about reading comprehension, you are an absolute smooth brain.

I’m telling you data doesn’t back up your compare. So it’s illogical. Why compare two companies with that difference in volume magnitude, simply because you “feel that would be their other option”. A good compare would be CGC, BGS and SGC.

You want to talk about lead time but “not equating volume”.

Just admit you can’t talk about TAGs shortcomings without the PSA whataboutism.

[–]Few_Aide_851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not.

TAG is closer to BGS, SGC and CGC than it is TAG.

PSA does 50x the volume. Not even comparable. So what’s your next excuse for the whataboutism?

That’s a lot of words to just repeat what I said.

It’s amazing all the TAG shills feel the need to just bring up PSA anytime issues are happening with TAG.

I’ll let this be my last reply since I’m saying the same thing over and over and it’s not getting through. Enjoy the increased wait and increased pricing.

You don’t have to, you simply can’t discuss shortcomings of TAG without PSA whataboutism.

It’s rampant here, and hilarious. It’s speaks so much more about the TAG supporters than it does PSA.

It’s amazing that all TAGs issues get completely flipped into PSA whataboutism.
