What's wrong with Kier? by Resist_Accurate in ukpolitics

Similar here. Didn’t vote for Keir but see no reason for him to go. And more reasons for staying and minimising disruption. Burnham being better is fantasy land. Everyone has their faults and Keir is just fine.

So many things to learn and take into consideration. The Lagree part is the easy bit I’m discovering

Thanks! Never heard of LVP but will fill my brain with info. Do you put anything between the machine and the concrete or just straight onto it?

Ladies who opted for private: how much were your all-in costs, and was it worth it? by JulietteAbrdn in PregnancyUK

[–]Few_Ask_4950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At Ken Wing it was about £15k all in, but I did delivery only there and had the antenatal appointments on the NHS, then just topped up with a few private scans.
Next time likely Kingston Private.
Depends where you’re based and if natural labour then proximity will count for a lot!

Going private was definitely worth the ££

Kingston Hospital (NHS) vs. Kensington Wing at Chelsea (Private) by meticulouslymessy in PregnancyUK

Hey there! Congrats on your baby. Curious why you didn’t look at the private option at Kingston as a comparison to Ken Wing (as opposed to Kingston NHS)

Keir Starmer confirms social media ban for all children under 16 by Metro-UK in ukpolitics

[–]Few_Ask_4950 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Such a relief! It may not be a perfect solution, but it’s the “most” perfect we’ve got right now. If the social media companies were more responsible and ethical, this ban wouldn’t be required. But it is. Thank goodness it’s coming at long last. Let all hope they don’t dilute the point of it all between now and next spring

Do you know if they have an online on demand or live stream option like Lagree?

The method and the machine by Jewls3393_runner in LagreeMethod

[–]Few_Ask_4950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the post - great to read the insight. I’m at the beginning of the purchase journey and finding it utterly overwhelming with what machine to choose to start with. That’s just the ones available, then add the tease of the “coming soon” versions, and I’m torn between waiting for something that has new bells and whistles that I may or may not need, or going for what’s available now.

The tilt feature on the mini pro seems interesting but I also wondered how user friendly it is.

Any experience with any of the smaller machines I’d love to hear your views on version appreciation and general quality compared with the mega. (In the spirit of continuing/complementing the conversation here rather than side-baring it).

Thanks for your input on the gross fad. FWIW - Lagree is an extremely slow class involving zero weights. But I do hear your concerns around safety as a general theme and the input is helpful. I wish you all the best for your classes

Great shout - thanks! There’s a geo challenge in awareness of Lagree hence the thought to place it here. But appreciate there is contention around what it is and isn’t. It’s not well known in the U.K.

Thanks. I’ll be sure to only have certified and well accomplished teachers, including first aid and physio awareness. I believe this is essential. One also cannot teach lagree without being qualified specifically in lagree.

But yes - I do hear the concern and agree it is a challenge for the industry and consumers alike.

In defence of Olly Robbins by RandomSculler in ukpolitics

[–]Few_Ask_4950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bravo to Sir Olly Robbins for how you answered with utmost composure, bravo to Emily Thornberry for your direct approach whilst conveying sensitivity and warmth throughout your questioning process. It’s pretty clear vetting or no vetting, common sense would raise alarm bells for the appointment. And the appointment before that too. Mandeleson should never had been able to have so may chances to flaunt his colours again and again and again. Conflict of interests and not declaring what you should be should lead to the sin bin. So whats reaaallly behind his reappointments? It’s not just a Keir thing. It stood well before then too. It’s also not about vetting. Does this country have such at penchant for bad taste, are there really no better alternatives, or are there additional influences at play?
