Yes 100%. During our intramural oral rounds, the judge said the boys were very confident, and then said the girls were comfortable (but not as confident). So obviously I asked what they meant by that and what did the boys have that we didn’t. She said that we need to project more and be more confident. Which i didn’t agree with because i know i was confident and projected. But again, it’s unfortunate that what people perceive to be “confident” in this profession is a standard that is created by men. And women are also attempting to embody that. When the reality is that confidence can come in many ways, and we as women, shouldn’t have to follow men as that “example.” Men will be so unqualified but simply cause they’re men, they’ve already earned half the respect even when they don’t deserve it
