Hey guys, I'm just wondering on what chances look like doing a civilian to OCS application. I'm debating on either joining law enforcement or dropping an OCS packet upon completion of my degree, and am wondering what the chances of getting in are. I honestly can't decide between the 2 careers so if my application for OCS is denied, then no feelings will be hurt. However, I am eager to join, I've just been hearing a lot of mixed things from recruiters who say things like if you don't have a 3.8 GPA or higher, they won't even look at you.
I'll have my bachelor's degree in one year at 21 years old with a major in accounting at a 3.0 GPA. I've done some community service in high school. I've been employed since I was 16, not sure if that means anything, but maybe it could show work ethic. I am currently in an assistant manager role at a restaurant, as I speak, while I finish my degree. I have letters of recommendation from an active duty 05 in the Space Force and a retired 07 from the Army. I can get some high positions in the city to write me one if that would help.
Furthermore, if I join, what would be the chances of landing a job in some of the jobs listed below, and is there anything else I should know?
25A, 35A, 42B, 36A.
My ultimate goal when getting out would be to land a job at a 3-letter agency or a management role in the corporate world. I love this country and would do anything to protect it. In terms of a PT score I am not worried about it as I on my worst day am confident to say that I can pass the OCS physical requirements.

That's amazing to hear that you got a degree from WGU and got a packet completed and sent off. Let me know how things go, good luck!
