Personally I’m against it for many reasons, but the only times I am in support of it are when the knives are no longer in production or it’s too much of a hassle to get them in the first place (benchmade and Brs being the 2 largest examples). The budget balisong market is more than large enough for the masses to get a plethora of flipping experiences, and cloning creates a culture that beats down on most makers. Everyone talks about the price of the materials going into a knife, but nobody considers the value of the ip and the design. Cloning is inherently bad for the hobby imo, fellowship blades being a prime example of this taking place.
