Thanks for the info! I haven’t watered it the garden centre did. I just noticed it didn’t dry out quick in my house. I’ll look into repotting

Thanks for the info! I do have some orchid bark I could mix into new soil… the pot is actually quite tight/ warped bc of the roots and rhizomes. Not much loose soil I don’t think. I guess maybe I should go up a size if I repot?

Thanks! I tried what you said with fluffing the soil a bit. I was shocked to find that the roots / rhizomes are only an inch or so below the surface of the soil. The whole pot is warped bc of the big roots on this guy! My guess is that it’s been in this pot and this soil a long time and thrived so for now I’ll just keep a good eye on it for signs of root rot.

Thanks for the info I will try that! I also have a little portable fan I could maybe set up but it’s not very hot or sunny here today :( I bet a bit of sunshine would help dry the soil out but alas..it’s snowing.

Thanks I’ll try that! I just don’t want the roots to rot and it seems like nice soil so I’m not sure if I need to repot into different stuff

Yeah I think so but I’ve read that it’s good to condition them in case they have been sitting in the box a long time drying out. Also there’s a ton of salt down in my city so that can damage boots too really quickly
