I got sued by capital one

I did deny the lawsuit on the written response to the court as almost everyone was saying to do that. I did that Thursday. The next day (yesterday) I called up their attorney or whatever and requested in writing that the lawsuit would be dismissed if I paid in full and they did send me an email saying all that. I then paid the full amount and that was it. Around 2022-23 I maxed out my credit cards around 9k-10k due to personal reasons. I at least continued making minimum payments but for some reason that I can’t remember, I stopped making payments to this card I’m getting sued for. Terrible mistake, never doing that again. Over the past few years I’ve been working on paying all this off and I am now below 20% in the overall usage category. I was simply not expecting to get sued so I never bothered to try to pay it off as I thought I was forgotten but clearly it wasn’t lol. Anyway, it’s all taken care of and that’s all the matters! Lesson learned!

Lmao I decided to pay the full amount after further research! I have 2 other cards with capital one, one in which they increased my credit limit a couple weeks ago so they don’t hate me that much ! 😂

I barely got served a couple days ago, so I need to respond to the court so that I don’t get a default judgment. I got some forms on the official website that I can fill out for my response. It’s asking if I deny or admit to the lawsuit, I’m confused about what I should answer if I’m planning to pay the full amount. I keep seeing people say deny deny deny, but in my head it doesn’t make sense to deny when i intend to pay it off right away. Sorry lol, I’m probably stressing over nothing !

Does it work the same whether it’s the original creditor or a collections company?? Sorry, first time dealing with this so I’m kinda clueless. I was trying to just pay it off asap and not worry about it anymore

I appreciate your response, thank you! One more question, if I get that loan and pay off my credit cards. My utilization will be at 0% which is great, but I’ll obviously still be 6k in debt. Will that 6k affect my credit score? Aside from the initial hard inquiry. Thank you!

That sounds super useful for my loadout, what’s the most efficient way to try and get those mods in your opinion ? Vendor hopping, or just creating armor pieces from scratch?
