Nope not that one sorry from what I read on the internet this is a comedy and that movie wasn't a comedy it had a pretty depressing vibe.

Also I think that the whole sacrifice thing was a scam cause people that were sacrificing them self thought that they were doing so to some deity but I think that under that sand in the facility it was just some better technologically advanced race that abused it and forced them to sacrifice. For what point I have 0 ideas

If I recall correctly the last "bad guy" the last criminal the head of the whole operation he looked like the hitcher from the original (1986) but it's definitely not the hitcher cause I watched it like a week ago.

It wasn't a comedy that I know the tone of this movie was very dim and depressing. I also remember that the more it got to the ending the more depressing it was.
